Pros: beautifully defines tan, big mirror, color, defined cheekbones, doesn't look muddy, easy to blend, legendary product, looks natural, no red pigment, though warm-toned
Cons: fingerprint magnet compact

Hey!

What do we all want in February? Right, go to the beach and turn up in hot weather!

But what’s the point of waiting for summer?

So, let’s create the summer mood right now!

What’ll help us?

NARS Bronzing Powder

I guess many of you have already heard of this product.

These buildable bronzing powders with golden shimmer create all-over warmth or contour for the face for the ultimate, healthy, sunkissed glow. Finely milled powders fill in lines and pores for a smoother, more even-looking complexion with an undetectable finish. Each iconic shade has a rich, gold-infused brown undertone, which delivers soft, shimmering color—perfect for creating a sunkissed look, imparting a luminous glow, or for subtle contouring. The shades are ideal for all skin tones, and each offers a natural-looking, imperceptible finish.

It’s just my go-to bronzer for everyday wear! Together with my favorite concealer I can create very beautiful face skin and even if I slept for 2 hours, I know that I won’t look pale or ill.

Let’s start from the very beginning:

Packaging: it’s soft to the touch, as though velvety. Unfortunately it’s too easy to stain and it gathers all the 50 shades of foundation. The product retails in a box.

Size: 8g

Expires within 24 months after opening

Spending: the product goes a long way, doesn’t crumble or dust

Texture: easy to take on a brush and translate on the skin as well as blend out

Shade: LAGUNA, soft, warm-toned with a delicate shimmer. It’s very important that the color doesn’t look red, unlike many other bronzers. The color looks really expensive with no hint of cheap pigment or muddy finish. It isn’t unnatural, on the contrary the color looks as though you are really tanned.

Application: I apply it on my cheekbones and thoroughly blend out to my ears. To create the real sun-kissed look you can apply a little bit of this bronzer to your temples, hairline and forehead.

This bronzer also performs nicely as a contour product. Apply it to the sides of the nose, the tip of the nose and chin. The product will look like a natural shade. This bronzer will be easy to work with even for a newbie, as it’s impossible to apply too much and it’s so nice to blend out.

Staying power: on my combination skin it stays for about 12 hours (the first 6 hours of wear are just perfect, then the product looks less bright). It’s notable that the bronzer doesn’t fade patchy.

Impressions of use:

+ it makes my skin look more tanned

+ it’s a perfect contour product

+ natural color

+ even a newbie will cope with it

+ a little goes a long way

+ great color payoff

- high price, though the size is big (8g) and the expiration date is within 24 months. I guess the product is worth it.

- the packaging is a fingerprint magnet which is also frustrating.

Price: $40

Recommend? Absolutely! But still I’d advise you to swatch this product before purchasing and make sure that this color flatters your skin tone in case you have very fair complexion or there are only cool-toned products which flatter your skin tone.
