It was the end of November when beauty bloggers started to review the Holiday limited-edition collection from NARS. The collection is really attention-worthy. It offers 6 shades of blusher, 2 palettes of 3 face products, eyeshadows and mini sets…
The design is killing and of course, the quality, which is a feature of the brand so I couldn’t pass by this limited-edition dream of every beautyholic.
General product info:
Packaging and design:
The entire NARS Holiday 2018 collection was punk-rock inspired, which is visible from the packaging. Here it’s cardboard and really stylish. So eye-catching!
The back of the palette offers all the product info, including the list of ingredients.
The brand always covers its palettes with cardboard, which is to protect them from any damage.
And yeah, the palette itself! It’s run in the Orgasm shades - pink and metallic colors are made of thick plastic. These spears have become the feature of the collection.
Punk rock as it is. I liked this design but honestly, it feels as though a year ago, we’ve already seen something like this from another American brand of gothic style.
The palette isn’t big and it’ll easily fit into a case or a makeup pouch.
I think that the photo speaks for itself. The design and the quality of the packaging hit all the 5 stars.
The palette offers a great mirror. All the NARS palettes always have nice mirrors.
But, frankly speaking, I was more interested in the contents. There are 2 cult products and 1 limited edition pressed highlighter.
It’s time to pass over to the most interesting part.
As I’ve already said, there are 2 cult products, which are Laguna bronzing blusher and the Orgasm shade, that very blusher, which has become a hit of the brand. There’s one more new product Orgasm highlighting blush, which is more known as a loose powder and it comes pressed only as a part of this palette.
Pigmentation-wise, all the products live up to the high-end powders.
It’s difficult to overdo with these ones. All the products look delicate under daytime lights.
You’ll never look like a roasted chicken with it on.
A brush picks them up well and the formula doesn’t leave any stains behind. The glow is delicate and beautiful.
The flash reveals the glow of the powders.
Honestly, I adore NARS. The quality is fantastic with the permanent products, as well as of the limited-edition ones.
Orgasm Infatuation Palette isn’t the first limited palette from the brand for me. I also have the Nars Bord De Plage palette with bronzers and highlighters, which also offers the Laguna bronzer, though matte-designed.
matte and glowing
From the left to the right Laguna from the Nars Bord De Plage palette and Laguna from the Orgasm Infatuation Palette.
As you can see, the shades are different not only in the finish but also in their undertones.
The comparison is here in the photo. I like the glowing Laguna more and I can use it even as a contour shade for my complexion. Both products are my faves, actually.
Both highlighters are the same in quality.
Orgasm, Corniche, Crique are my favorite highlighters from NARS.
And even though the Orgasm highlighter looks darker in the swatch, it still appears magnificent on my face.
Orgasm blush, well, what do I have to say here? It’s the most hyped product from NARS.
The result speaks for itself. Such a light and natural glow.
This palette can also be used for eye makeup if you want it to be simple and daytime.
Staying power. Within 6 hours the products look the following way:
The highlighter is still put, as well as the blusher and the bronzer.
Full-on makeup with the Orgasm Infatuation Palette.
It’s time to conclude:
Easy to use,
Shades - all these facts make this palette a worthy one for a makeup junkie and a professional. Who can I recommend it for? Definitely for everybody! As for me, I use it for my own makeup and never work with it just because I’m greedy. If I were serious, I would highly recommend it for makeup artists because it’s just impossible to screw up with this palette. I can also advise makeup newbies to try this palette because the products literally blend out themselves. And if you’re a makeup junkie, I guess that you’ve already bought it. :)
Thanks for your attention to my post! See ya!
