I’ve started using the Nars products beginning with this foundation about 2 years now. According to the reviews, their foundations are, mildly speaking, far from being perfect.
I’d been looking for a foundation for the summertime at that time.
One of the most important things for me was that the coverage was lightweight and luminous, not matte. I got attracted to this option by the SPF 30, no alcohol content and the non-comedogenic ingredients. Plus, the color range had some shades with a yellow undertone. I have problem skin with an oily T-zone that is dry on my cheeks because of acids I use in my skincare routine. This foundation is moisturizing, which is good for my flaky bits.
I have the shade Finland with neutral pink and yellow undertones.
The shade
It’s impossible to use a thick foundation in summer that will cover everything up. The girls who suffer from acne know what I mean. The thing is that the coverage starts melting away in about an hour already and my skin looks even worse than it was without a foundation. So, I wanted just a weightless texture with a natural-looking finish. I prefer not to conceal every imperfection completely, even though I have a lot of them.
The thicker the coverage is, the worse it looks with closed comedones.
My bare face
I use it all year round. When it’s warm, I use it alone, but in winter and fall I prefer mixing it with some thicker foundations.

However, the biggest plus for me is that the shade looks even more beautiful in about 10 minutes than immediately after applying. I love this foundation for that!
It sticks around all day and gives me a natural glow. More than that, it perks up my problem and dull skin.
As for girls with perfect skin, it’s just an awesome addition to your makeup bag.
