I want to start off saying that there are people who find eyeshadow primers essential for them. They should be of good quality, long-wearing and… expensive.

You see, if your eyelids are oily and hooded, your eye makeup has all the chances to crease within seconds. As for me, I’ve got a combo here. Smile

Nars is a high-end brand.

The design is cute, even though I can’t say that the packaging looks luxurious. The plastic is black and white, it’s sleek and super nice to the touch. The top cap is soft-touch, of good quality materials and the lettering won’t ever fade away, even if I keep on carrying it with me in my makeup bag.

It comes packed with a box, which was sealed at the sides.

The applicator wand is long with a sponge at the end. It’s small and rather rough to the touch. Honestly, it isn’t pleasant to touch my eyelids with it.

The stopper inside is safe and never lets the superfluous formula come out. One dip is enough for one eye.

The texture is creamy and silicone.

Ingredients:

Isododecane, Talc, Cyclopentasiloxane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Vp/Eicosene Copolymer, Dimethicone, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Cyclohexasiloxane, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Propylene Carbonate, Peg-40 Stearate, Sorbitan Olivate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Phenoxyethanol, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Oryza Sativa [Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil Extract], Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Castor Oil Phosphate, Sea Whip Extract, Mica, Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77163 (Bismuth Oxychloride)

This product comes with one and only shade - white. But it turns transparent on my eyes. It doesn’t have any coverage to conceal my small veins or skin discoloration.

It's fragrance-free. It applies and distributes well over my skin, smoothing out my skin texture. My eyeshadows apply evenly over it, they blend out nicely and if I don’t set this primer with a powder or a light eyeshadow, it can be a tad tacky to the touch.

Here I applied a pigment over and it seems to be glued to it. It doesn’t make my eyeshadows appear brighter and more vibrant, unlike the Urban Decay primer, for instance.

Staying power- It made me really disappointed! It’s pretty difficult to make it live through a working day because the formula tends to crease, especially over my hooded eyes.

Size - 8ml. The spending isn’t quick and I guess it’ll be enough to use within 6 months for every day.

The bottom line- I wouldn’t say that this product impressed me! Objectively, it’s a good primer that barely manages to do its job.

In comparison with other primers, I love the one from UD more, than this one. If I were to find a cheaper dupe, I’d say that it’s more like a TONY MOLY Face Mix Eye Primer. I’m glad that I had a chance to test it out. Now, I’ll keep on using it till the end and I really doubt that I repurchase.
