Meet an exceptional makeup setting spray that is an awesome find for me! I’ve never heard about the product before purchasing, but now I’m really glad I’ve discovered it.
The manufacturer states that the spray is matte and helps to set makeup for a really long time. I’ve decided to check the statement and see if it is worth the hype and really valuable for the money.
What are the good and the bad of the spray?
The bottle is black and classy in design and contains 60ml of the product, which is great taking into account that you have to spray it just 2 or 3 times at a time. The bottle is quite small, which is good, as it doesn’t take up much room, so it’s convenient to use on the go or when on trips.
On the back you can find all the information you need.
Hold bottle about 10-12 inches away from face or body and mist evenly, making sure to cover the desired area. Lightly dab off excess spray with tissue and air dry for a perfect finish.
The pump is easy to use. I like that it sprays evenly and finely. The product doesn’t flow, so the packaging and the pump are sturdy and quality.
There is a slight smell you can feel while applying, but it’s unnoticeable after that. The spray is colorless.
Initially I thought that the spray is going to be too heavy for my face, so that I would feel uncomfortable wearing it. However, it’s different. It works well for my skin without drying it out or clogging my pores. Moreover, it doesn’t cause any allergies or anything. The product helps to set all the makeup layers and keep them fixed for a long period of time.
At the moment I have quite oily skin with occasional redness, pimples and other skin imperfections. No foundation could ever survive 40 C, as it was outside in our city sometimes I’ve decided to stop using makeup products for a while, because they always crease, flow and get shiny in summer. However, sometimes I have to use them and so I’ve decided to carry out an experiment and give NYX setting spray a go:
I took the photo at 3 p.m. Here I’ve applied my makeup with an eyeshadow base. I always use a base for my eyeshadows, by the way. Then I used NYX blush, Missha foundation and Pupa powder.
7 p.m. I’ve been walking in the sun the whole time:
The makeup stayed put startlingly long and survived the heat The foundation didn’t crease and the blush lasted 5-6 hours, which is amazing, because it doesn’t usually last this long. I think the result is great, I love it. The spray is a must have for summertime and for those who have oily skin.
Although there is a downside I’ve noticed. The effect doesn’t last all day, but only about 10 hours. So the blush disappears after a while.
The spray doesn’t make my face feel heavy, sticky or oily. It has a lightweight texture, which absorb quickly and doesn’t smear. I would especially recommend this product for girls who have oily sheen.
What I also like about the spray is that my face looks natural with it. Moreover, it is absolutely undetectable on my skin. I would also recommend the Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray for those who have dry to combination skin type.
All in all, I loved NYX Make Up Setting Spray. It’s perfect for summertime and trips. Now I plan on repurchasing it
Thanks for your attention
