I used to be afraid to wear red lipsticks. A few years ago I became braver and decided to buy one to give red lipstick a go. After some wasted attempts to apply it evenly, I understood that I need a lip pencil to contour my lips. I opted for the NYX Lip Pencil which eventually has become a universal product for any red lipstick that I possess.
The product has wooden packaging with a safety cap that sits very tightly, so you can be sure that it won’t pop open in your beauty bag. It’s very easy to sharpen the product as it doesn’t crumble or break.
Texture-wise, the pencil is very soft. It doesn’t scratch my lips and is very comfortable during the application. It isn’t rough to my lips. The coverage is good and opaque. The product doesn’t need to be pressed on to get an even and precise contour, it’ll draw everything itself! 
The staying power is average. It stays on well on the edges of the lips. I hardly ever wear liquid lipsticks. Satin and mattes most frequently.
I also wear this pencil alone. I apply it all over my lips and like the ending result. My lips look beautiful and really matte.
The product is absolutely comfortable while wearing as it’s lightweight in texture and never dries out my lips.
My color is HOT RED. It’s a classical red color that matches any red lipstick. It’s difficult for me to make out its undertone but I presume that it’s close to cool undertones.
I’m very happy about my NYX Slim Lip Pencil. The color is gorgeous, the texture is soft, creamy and long-lasting. It’s pleasant to use and wear. If I have a chance, I’ll definitely buy some other colors. Given that the range of colors is wide, I bet that I find one more fave of mine there!
