NYX Super Cliquey Matte Lipstick - review

I love lipsticks, and I own tons of them! They seem to take up too much space in my apartment

I received this lipstick in exchange for an unbiased review. As it turned out, this lipstick is pretty good.

I own it in the shade Conform.

This stick reminds me of a writing pen - you have to push the clicker to get the product out.

But keep in mind that once dispensed, the lipstick cannot be returned into the stick, so don’t click with too much effort.

In case if you are interested in the ingredients, here they are. By the way, it looks like there are a few useful ingredients, which are often added to lip balms.

Shade and characteristics

On me, this shade looks warm brown. It’s a twin shade of the Cabaret Show from the Lip Lingerie line. There is no greyness in it, just a warm brown.

Very beautiful, would be perfect for autumn.

The formula is thick, I’d even say, a bit waxy, easy to apply but feels heavy on the lips.

The pigmentation is very high, and the color payoff is great. It doesn’t eat into the lips and therefore leaves no tint after it’s removed.

Due to its teardrop-shaped bullet, it’s easy to paint the cupid’s bow with this lipstick. However, it was pretty hard to draw the rest of the lip line. That’s my eternal problem, maybe I’m just a ham-handed monkey.

The lipstick is supposed to be matte. However, its finish is just a little bit glossy. It creates no problem during wear, but eventually, a white residue starts to appear between the lips.

This is why I take one star off. Maybe a primer is required for proper wear, who knows.

Thanks to its dense formula, the lipstick doesn’t smudge or settle in the lip lines.

Its durability is not like that of matte lipsticks, and yet it lasts better than regular lipsticks. It may survive a little snack. However, after a real lunch it will disappear.

The lipstick may be removed with micellar water, wet wipes or even a dry tissue. So if you ate ice cream you can easily remove the rest of the lipstick and apply it again.

In general, I like this lipstick, it’s durable, beautiful and pleasant to wear. There is one flaw, and I took a star off because of it, but nevertheless, I can totally recommend this lipstick!
