Hi everyone!

I use eyeshadows quite rarely, but I have always wanted to find a shimmerless eyeshadow palette of beige and brown shades. But alas there were only shimmer eyeshadows available in our local stores.

When I saw this palette, I thought that I’d finally found my long-desired product but unfortunately, the palette turned out to be far from perfect.

Product description:

Rich, velvety shadows blend smoothly for beautiful, luxurious color that wears for up to 16 hours. Won’t crease, fade or smudge. Available in a variety of expertly color-coordinated palettes for your most gorgeous eyes yet.

So, the Revlon palette consists of 4 shades, from light beige to coffee.

Price: $5.97

There is no mirror in the palette, which is a major drawback in my opinion. There is a double-sided applicator, but its quality is far from being great. I don’t use it, as I prefer to apply my eyeshadows with a brush.

Let’s take a closer look at these shades:

1 - The lightest shade, blends smoothly into my skin, and has a tiny shimmer in it.

2 - Darker than the first one, delicate beige, contains tiny shimmer particles as well.

3 - Bronze, satin, and without shimmer

4 - The most beautiful shade, in my opinion. Coffee, or hot chocolate, completely matte, without any shimmer at all.

Swatch:

Even in this photo you can see that the first three shades are barely pigmented and almost invisible on the skin.

Now makeups, in different lighting:

My opinion:

✔ The eyeshadows are easily picked up with a brush but I don’t like how they blend on the eyelid. They are hardly blendable and combined with each other, and it’s pretty hard to achieve a smooth transition.

✔ Okay, the first two shades are barely visible, but why is the third one so lowly pigmented? I don’t understand it. I had similar colors before but all of them were okay.

✔ The only shade which delights me is the last one. It’s highly pigmented and can be used in makeup, but only together with any other palette.

✔ The eyeshadows stay put really long and don’t crease. They don’t fall out, except for shimmer particles.

I didn’t get what I expected. I wanted a vibrant makeup with smooth transitions, but it’s impossible to achieve the desired effect with this palette. It would be suitable only for those who like natural makeup.

Anyway, I won’t recommend it.
