This fall I decided to replenish my lip products collection with matte warm undertoned liquid lipsticks: something in beige, peachy-like and pink shades. So this is why I bought the Seventeen All Day Lip Color which I’m reviewing today.
As I’m a real fan of nude lipsticks, I obviously opted for the #03 Light Beige. While application and when my lips are still wet from the product, they really look strange and tacky but a few moments later when the product gets dries my lips look stunning. This shade looks so nude-like. This is that same nude beige-pink shade that I was looking for for so long.
Consistency-wise the product is creamy. The coverage is opaque and camouflages my natural lip color on the first swipe. But this lippie accentuates the flaws like the fine lines of my lips after it gets dried. If I don’t apply a top lip gloss, my lips look super dry and tightened. For these reasons I take away 2 stars from the rating.
As for the longevity, the product is extremely long-lasting. I can remove it only with makeup removers or cleansing oil. In my lip products collection I also have the famous liquid lipstick by Lime Crime and I can assure you the Seventeen product is way more long-lasting. It fades gradually to a neutral shade which looks good and decent.
So, the other end of the product is a usual lip gloss which is to be applied over the matte product. Thanks to the gloss and shine this product gives to my lips, the finish doesn’t look matte or dry at all. When buying this lippie, I didn’t expect using this lip gloss, but of course for you I’ll try it and tell you about my experience with it. I appreciate the fact that the matte lipstick doesn’t budge or bleed if I apply the lip gloss over it. I also appreciate very much that all the tightening and discomforting feelings magically disappear once I apply the lip gloss over the matte finish. The glossy shine is there for about 2 hours or so and after that time my lips look matte again.
Overall:
I like this lipstick and I especially like its shade, scent and the way it’s felt while wear. The fact that it accentuates lip flaws but the staying power is so phenomenal is a reason I can absolutely neglect this downside at all. So if you are looking for a really long lasting liquid lipstick, then you should definitely pay attention to this product by Seventeen.
