Pros: emollient properties, gorgeous shades, it’s one of the best among the high-end lipsticks, lightweight texture, stylish case, wear time
Cons: can’t think of any

Hello dear readers!

I’m eager to share my impressions of the Rouge collection by Shiseido.

All in all there are 16 shades in the line, which are combined into 4 groups:

- Magnetic Lipstick (Rd501- Rd504)

- Romantic Lipstick (Rd 305, Rd 309-Rd311)

- Passionate Lipstick (Rd 306 - Rd308, Rd312)

- Mysterious Lipstick (Rd713- Rd716)

The colors of the products in the line aren’t only red, there are also nude, pink and plump colors as well.

All the shades are very complicated, muted and look fantastic!

According to the creative manager of the brand, each girl will find a matchy red color in their collection. I have to tell you the truth and say that I fell for all the colors. (No, I haven’t found my perfect color yet).

But meet the collection I opted for the shade RD715 Rose Crush.

So, first things first.

Design

It’s a tradition to retail high-end lipsticks packed with a cardboard box.

The weight of the lippie is 4g.

The lipstick is housed in a rather heavy strict black glossy case.

On top of the cap they placed the brand logo, which is a camellia. And on the bottom there’s the name of the brand etched.

The cap closes tightly with two magnets.

On the bottom of the case you’ll find the shade name and its number.

The stick itself has an interesting and unusual shape, which reminds me of a collar of a kimono. Thanks to this cut, the bullet has a shape of an upside down droplet.

This weird shape has turned out to be really convenient and easy to line my lips.

Shade.

The shade of my lippie seems to be muted, yet vibrant at the same time. It’s such a muted pink color with brown notes to it (the color of rose wood maybe). It’s strict, serious and really elegant. It’ll be great for any season.

Here I applied the lippie with a pretty thin layer. If I blot it with a tissue, then I’ll get a matte finish. (By the way, they advise it as one of the ways of wearing this lipstick on the official site). :

While here, the lipstick is applied with a thicker layer. The color looks more vibrant and you can see the glossy shine here as well. (the picture was taken in the shadow by natural light):

A picture of the product by natural and sunlight:

And I want to compare this shade with some others from my collection (you can see that such shades are my trusties) Smile

From the right to the left -

1 - Shiseido Rouge Rouge RD 715 - the most intense shade. Here the red pigment prevails;

2 - Chanel Rouge Coco 434 Mademoiselle - this lippie is lighter and has more beigy-brown notes;

3 - L'Oreal Color Riche Matte 640 Erotique - this one is also pretty fair, though has more pink undertones;

4 - L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette (nude) - this is the fourth shade on top of the palette. It’s something in between of the shade #1 and #2. This shade is the closest to the hero of the review color-wise.

On my lips (the photo is taken in natural and daylight):

Quality.

It was expected that the lipstick has a bang-up quality. The texture is buttery and very soft. It seems to be melting on my lips and the application is really gliding.

In this photo you can see the butter texture really well - after using, the cut of the bullet has a glossy finish too:

The product is really well packed with the pigment, so one swipe nicely covers my natural lip pigment and shows gorgeous glossy finish.

The lipstick is easy-breezy to apply, because of its soft and butter texture. It’s almost undetectable on my lips, which is so great.

The wear time is about 4 hours. After that the gloss disappears, but the pigment stays on. The lipstick performs well at contours. It doesn’t bleed or feather, even if I don’t wear it with a lip liner.

It doesn’t crease or gather with a white film on the inside of my mouth over time. Smile

The lippie is really comfortable during wear. Even in winter, when it’s freezing outside, it gives enough nourishment and moisture to my lips.

The product doesn’t have any particular smell to it.

All in all, I am delighted with my purchase. My lips look beautiful with it on and there aren’t any discomforting feelings either. The shade is really versatile and it’ll be nice for any season. The weight of the lippie is 4g (usually the high-end lipsticks have the same price tag, though they have only 2g of the formula). So, if you’re looking for your color of red lipstick, then I highly recommend you pay attention to the Shiseido products.

A few more words:

Once I saw that these lipsticks from the collection were discounted, I could barely pass by them. This is why I bought one more wonderful shade, named RD504 Rouge Rum Punch.

It’s such a beautiful vinous shade, which is bright to some extent, but I still feel comfortable wearing it. The quality is on fleek, as of the first lipstick.

So, let’s have a look at the swatches:

Thanks for your interest to my review! Have a great mood! And see you soon!
