I believe that every girl had such a product that she avoided for quite a while, but after finally trying it out, she couldn’t stop using it.
This is the case with the Brow Intensity from Sleek Makeup. Nope, I’m no way an old-fashioned type. On the contrary I love when some products come out that make the makeup game easier, but this time it only became more complicated.
So, without further ado let’s get into the review.
The product comes in a black cardboard package with a picture of the product on the front.
The package has a product description, the list of ingredients and expiry date on it.
On top you can find a specific sticker with the color that coincides with the color of the product itself. Also, there is the name and number of the shade indicated.
The tube reminds me of a thick pen. On the one side, it’s a highlighter pen and on the other it’s a brow mascara gel.
The highlighter has a triangle crayon that reminds me of eyebrow pencils from ABH or Smashbox. You can define the arch of your brow or add a little highlight to it quickly.
The texture of the crayon is waxy and applies to my skin not that easy as creamy formulas. However, it can be blended out with a brush or my fingers effortlessly.
I prefer applying matte textures or colorful highlighters under my brows, but if you are into a delicate glow, you’ll definitely love this product and the effect it gives.
The brow mascara is creamy, highly-pigmented and applies with ease.
The manufacturer recommends applying the product with a specific brush with the bristles of different length.
First of all you should comb through your hairs with a brush. Then create a desired shape of your tip with an applicator. Sounds good, right?
But in fact it is a pain the butt to make a sharp tip due to the rounded form of this applicator. As a result, the brows look awkward.
So, I advise you comb through your brows with a brush first. Then take a tapered brush and draw the tips of your brows. Then only you get better results. Moreover, this use doesn’t take so much time.
The wear time of both products is amazing. They survive after rubbing with fingers or after splashes of water.
So, here is a swatch of the products immediately after application:
And here I rubbed both products with my fingers properly after they had set.
The textures are non-scented and cause no allergies.
The color range consists of 5 shades beginning from light to black. I have the lightest shade for blondes. In my opinion, it’s perfect for both blondes and those with little darker brows.
Overall: I loved the formula of the mascara gel, its application and wear time. The highlighter gives a gentle glow that looks great both during the daytime and in the evening, but the applicator brush disappointed me.
It was meant to make the application easier and quicker, but it makes the application only more complicated.
I give this product 4 stars because of a brush, but it is still worth a look. In general, this is a nice product.
