Hello guys! I’d like to tell you about the Stila Lip Glazes today. Some time ago these lip products were so hyped on the internet. I’ll start off saying that before, I used to have a similar product from the E.L.F. brand in a crimson color. It was so affordable, barely $1. But when I saw that it was almost used up, I started looking for a dupe for it. Visiting the outlet shop, I saw a set of two lipsticks from Stila, which were so hyped at that time. I quickly grabbed that set and bought it. I’m so happy now that the set had a huge discount because it doesn’t live up to the real price tag at all. Unfortunately, I threw the used up E.L.F. product away, so I can’t show you it now. But believe me, these two really look similar. The only difference is in the sponge applicators. These Stila products offer a brush, which turned out to be even more convenient to apply the formula on my lips.

Ingredients:

Polybutene, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Octyldodecanol, Quaternium-18 Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax/ Candelilla Cera, Beeswax (Cera Alba), Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax/ Cera Carnauba, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRA-DI-T-BUTYL HYDROXYHYDROCINNAMATE , Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Silica, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Lanolin Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Camellia Sinensis (Camellia) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Flavor (Aroma), Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Cinnamate, Benzyl Salicylate, 3-Methyl-4-(2, 6, 6- trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1yl)-3-buten-2-one, Hexyl Cinnamaldehyde, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Geraniol, Citral, Linalool, Eugenol, May Contain (+/-) Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Carmine (CI 75470), Red 30 Lake (CI 73360), Red 7 lake (CI 15850), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Red 22 Lake (CI 45380), Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Red 6 (CI 15850), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090). Contains carmine as a color additive.

How to use:

- Lip glaze can be worn alone or overtop of a favorite lip color.

- The shine in the lip glazes will visually enhance the size and texture of the lips.

- Apply lip glaze throughout the day to minimize dryness in the lips.

- Twist 10 to 15 times to activate the lip glaze and 1 to 3 times for each individual use.

So, the very first thing that I didn’t like was that the applicator always has too much of the product on it. I know that barely two twists are enough to get the product out but it doesn’t always work like this. Sometimes I have to twist and twist it a lot and nothing happens. But later, out of nowhere, there appears a ton of the product on the applicator. As for me, I can’t apply all that mess over my lips evenly, so I usually have to use a special brush or my fingers to do it.

In general, the product lives its own life, as it flows out itself, staining the cap.

What should I say about the spending?! Even though I hardly ever wear the pink shade and always apply it with a thin layer, it’s still almost used up. Initially, it had the same amount of the formula inside as the crimson shade.

The pink product (shade Glint EP) has an abundance of cool-toned gray shimmer to it and when I apply it over my lips, they always look gray then. That’s why I either have to wear it with the thinnest layer or over a lip liner. The product isn’t long-wearing at all. It fades gradually, though its color is so fair that the fading is difficult to see. Smile

It’s good that all those shimmer bits don’t fall out from my lips. However, they willingly stay there for good, even after the product completely disappears. Smile The only beautiful thing about this product is its naming and that’s it. Nothing special.

The crimson shade (called Clamour EO) offers a very nice color. But I have to admit that I like the way it looks on my hand or in the package more than on my lips. Again, it looks plain over my lips. I use its featured applicator to apply it and always wear this shade solo. The staying power is about an hour or maybe an hour and a half, after that the color fades and disappears delicately.

I give it 3 stars for the performance since their formulas don’t dry out my lips, they apply smoothly and delicately fade away. But I won’t ever repurchase.

The E.L.F. Essential Luscious Liquid Lipsticks are much better and more affordably-priced.
