Five years ago, I was travelling around France when I visited the Galeries Lafayette there and it was the first time when I found out about the By Terry brand. During that travel I was attracted by this product. As it was pricey I didn’t buy it right away. But the next time I came back there again, I eventually bought the By Terry Lip Balm.
The sales girl told me about this product’s magical properties about how well it nourishes, restores and soothes and of course I couldn’t resist. In the ingredients there’s shea butter and the balm is a fave of many Hollywood stars. But I can’t say that these sounding properties or descriptions attracted me most. No, actually I don’t care which celebrity adores this product and why.
I was attracted by the .... jar.
The pastel pink balm with teeny-tiny pink shimmer in it was placed in a cute small jar. That was exactly what I needed.
I didn’t need the shiny shimmer particles that would be seen on my lips. On the contrary, the noble glow was the thing I desperately wanted to see on my lips.
The jar itself is very cute made of matte heavy glass.
I hardly ever use lipsticks as I love my lips to look natural. But sometimes it’s just no good to walk outside with nothing on the lips, so that’s the reason why I needed a good lip balm. What’s more is this very balm made my lips seductively pinkish, soft, smooth, with a noble shimmer and glow to them.
The price was about 40 euros.
The product is really cool. It does everything that it promises. My lips are always soft, nourished and covered with the product for 2-3 hours
The fragrance is very light. It really smells of roses. The fragrance is very individual. Not everybody will like it. The texture glides perfectly on my lips.
Made in France
It tastes neutral on my lips which I’ll count as an advantage since I loathe sweet additives in lip products.
The balm is cool yet I can’t call it a must have. It’s a treat and nothing more. If I have the opportunity to repurchase it, I will. If I don’t, I won’t be upset.
Have a good and enjoyable shopping!
