Hello pretties! Wink

If you follow the beauty trends and releases, then I guess you’ve already understood what product I’m going to talk about today. The Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow which really hit YouTube a lot. There were only positives reviews and opinions of it. But is the product really so great as they describe? Let’s find out all the truth about the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow together.

I want to start off with a small outer appearance description. The product retails in a branded golden box with all the necessary information on it.

The tube with the product is made of a see-through plastic which shows the contents well. The top cap is also made of plastic material. It has golden letters and golden rim around which fades over time.

Volume - 4.5 ml

Made in the USA

The list of ingredients is here on the packaging.

I have the product in two colors - Molten Midnight and Wanderlust and I can say that they are both different in texture and the way they apply on my eyes. So that’s why I’ll describe both of them separately.

I want to start off with the Wanderlust. It’s a very beautiful sparkling rose gold color with tiny yet obvious golden-green and pink shimmer bits.

The texture is gel-like and during application I always experience a slight cooling effect on my eyes. The product applies with the applicator wand nicely and it doesn’t leave patchy spots. I can easily blend it out with my finger as well as with a synthetic brush. The only thing that you must do is to be quick with blending as the product sets within 30 or 40 seconds after application. After drying out, the eyeshadow will be practically impossible to move, blend or touch-up.

The Wanderlust color can be applied with one layer and still it’ll show good, thick and sparkling coverage. The layering is difficult as the second layer drags the first layer. But I want to assure you that even applied with one layer this color looks nice, as well as applied over some other products like creamy or powder eyeshadows.

The Molten Midnight color is black with big silver shimmer particles. It has a more liquid-y texture which is more water-based and runny.

I don’t advise you to apply this color on a non-primed skin as the dark eyeshadows will be one of the perfect shades to apply this color over them, as the main color is rather intense and bright.

If you want to blend the product out, then just take a minute and think again. If you still do want to blend it out, then the color will look patchy and drag the base color behind leaving terrible color flops. Besides, the shimmer will fall out a lot, staining your face and cheeks if you still decide to blend the color.

The Molten Midnight color is applied best with the applicator wand it comes with, as the wand really shows opaque color and applies the product with a rather thick layer. Even the thicker layer performs well on my eyes as the shimmer doesn’t fall out, nothing leaks, cracks or anything.

In the swatches, the Wanderlust is on the left and the Molten Midnight is on the right.

If I blend them out you’ll see how even the lighter color looks and how the darker color looks patchy.

In the soft focus you can see the beautiful shine of the products.

This is how the products look in makeup in artificial light or in the bright sunlight.

The staying power of both shades is nice if they were applied over a base color. The wear time is about 6 or 7 hours then they start creasing.

Well, it’s a little bit tricky to wash the products off, you know. You should be ready that Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow will make your entire face shine bright like a diamond!

And of course I’ll show you the makeup looks with these eyeshadow colors. The Wanderlust color is applied all over my mobile lid, the eyeshadows from the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette are in the crease and on the lower lashline.

Smokey eyes with the Molten Midnight as an accent shade on my eyes. I did this makeup with the Urban Decay Naked Heat and Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palettes.

I also decided to make a cat eye with the back sparkling shade but I guess it doesn’t look natural and flattering to me. Over the MAC Pro Longwear Fluidline Gel Eyeliner I applied the Stila glitter with a thin brush.

Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow is undoubtedly beautiful and an interesting product but I can’t say that it’s new or unique on the market. As it turned out, the quality completely depends on the shade. One of my shades turned out to be easy and simple to apply and work with, while the other is rather finicky and time-consuming.

I will recommend this product yet still be very careful with choosing the color.

Price - $24 each.

Thanks for your attention and have a smart shopping day! Wink
