Greetings!

I have a rather complicated attitude towards the Tom Ford brand. Some time ago, I was literally hooked on their products and used to buy everything that caught my eye. However, I was absolutely dissatisfied with their legendary Honeymoon eyeshadow palette, which is said to be the best one in the makeup world…

On the one hand, there’s nothing to be surprised about because every brand has some good and bad products as well. It’s impossible that everything is great. Do you agree?

Today I’m here with the Sheer Cheek Duo

PRODUCT INFO:Price: $82

Made in Italy

Size: 4.4g

PROMISES:

Cheeks go both ways with paradise lust, a pair of peach and bright coral shades that give a light-reflective finish to bronzed summer skin. A soft pink highlighter and a bold rose blush can be applied wet for a soft veil of color or dry for a sweeping pop of vibrancy. Use shades alone or together for non-streaking, stay-true color that blends easily. Embossed with Tom Ford logo.

OUTER APPEARANCE:

The product is a white plastic casing. It looks luxurious, that’s true. No frills about it, everything is absolutely inspired by Tom Ford.

The back of the packaging also has a small see-through sticker with the product details.

The compact closes and opens with a magnet, which also has the branded embossment:

By the way, it opens easily, so you won’t break your nails over it. But at the same time, it doesn’t mean that the compact can pop open in your beauty bag.

The product was initially also packed with a pouch, which I’ve lost somewhere. I didn’t use it because it was white and dirt collecting…

Inside the compact is as beautiful as outside. This golden rims always magnets the dust, that’s true but I don’t care about it.

Also, the palette has a good quality mirror, which I don’t use, though, because I always put on my makeup looking into a big mirror at home.

The formula weighs only 4.4g. The refills are small, 2.2g each.

SHADES AND TEXTURE:

As far as I remember, these palettes were released with three shades. I own mine in the shade #03 Lavender Lure. It’s the most advantageous to my liking.

Here we have 2 shades of 2 different finishes.

The first one is more pigmented and it’s rather intensive and satin finish-wise.

It’ll be very easy to overdo it, so be careful.

This shade is charming and unique in my collection. True berry-like.

I really like how it looks in my makeup. I look so fresh with it on. I also appreciate that the satin formula there doesn’t show off my skin blemishes, but on the contrary, as though blurs them away.

The second shade isn’t so intense. It’s really light and you won’t overdo it. This shade is gentle and beautiful. Smile

It’s more satin and glowy in the finish but it also doesn’t define my skin woes, which is great.

Just beautiful lit from within skin and nothing more. Smile This one appears more natural in my makeup. You can also apply it with a seamless finish, so it’ll look 100% natural. Smile

Swatches:

Both shades have dope silky to the touch texture and they are well packed with pigments. They sit on well over any brush.

Thanks to the silky texture, the products can be picked up with any brush yet they won’t be dusty at the same time. There’s only pigment, no fallout.

I love how nicely they blur my skin and never show off my skin texture. They also don’t settle into my pores, which is so advantageous for the overall look.

The lasting power is awesome, 5-6 hours with ease. In life, it’s rather difficult to meet the blush that stays on and doesn’t flake off within 2-3 hours.

  • Is this palette worth splurging?

Well, the palette is undoubtedly magnificent. The shades and their quality are the best but I’d like to recommend it only to those who collect such palettes.

I want you to get me right. The quality is awesome here, but I can’t see any point in splurging $82 for a palette, which can be easily be duped with cheaper alternatives. There’s nothing out of this world about it. I bought it just because of my own preferences.

If you have to save money for it, stop doing it because you’ll be upset.

  • Does it stand out with its quality from other, more affordable blushers?

No, it doesn’t. These are dope in quality but you can find the same ones but only 5 times cheaper.

  • Is the palette worth $82?

It’s very unlikely. If I lose it somehow (God forbid that), I won’t repurchase. You can splurge $82 but only if you’re a fan of the brand or head over heels with high-end makeup.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

I like this palette and I use it with pleasure. It’s really good quality and does live up to the high-end makeup. Besides, the shades here are interesting. But whether you need it or not, decide on your own.

Thanks for your attention!

Stay tuned!
