Recently I decided to try out the Too Faced branded makeup - they are animal cruelty-free which is so to the point because now I’m switching to more ethical makeup. And this is actually the very first brand that crossed my mind.

 

I bought some products from Sephora and received this mini. I appreciate that the store always supplies their customers with minis.

 

So, now it’s time to tell you about the face primer, which is said to be soothing and hydrating.

My skin BEFORE

Actually, I don’t suffer from hangovers and my skin isn’t stressed or anything.

BUT still, my complexion is dull and the texture isn’t smooth. There are blackheads, rosacea and dark under eye circles. My skin is like this, that’s a fact.

 

 

❗️❗️❗️ The first and the most unbearable disadvantage about this product is actually its SMELL.

It smells like a very bad coconut candy...cheap fake of the raffaello sweets. I can also feel the note of a damp and filthy towel in there. At first, I even had a though that my mini expired but the sachet smells the same.

And yeah, some time later, I received another mini of this product, which smelled identical.

Forcing myself, I decided to give it a chance.

The texture is lightweight and silky by touch. It applies very nicely and feels a little bit tacky on my fingers. It sets within a couple of minutes.

❗️❗️❗️ The second disadvantage is actually the absence of any result on my skin at all. I made myself use the sachet up as well as half of the mini in different times with different conditions of my skin. There’s no difference in the mirror, I think. And it feels like there’s no result on my skin either. It just remained the same.

Before makeup, after makeup, in the morning, instead of my makeup - each time my skin looks the same with this primer. Just a little bit glowing and that’s it. A regular moisturizer will be more beneficial for your skin anyway.

The aroma stays on my skin and hands for so long. It’s so disgusting.

❔ Is there a chance that my foundation will apply nicely over it and stay on for longer ❔

My foundation applies smoothly over it - as well as without any primer at all. I can’t see any difference with or without this product on my skin.

For me, this primer does nothing. My skin isn’t perfect but I wish it still could smooth it out. But no. It only boosts glow and that’s it, nothing more.

I couldn’t bear that smell when using the sachet and all my tries were in vain.

Unfortunately, this primer is a total waste.

But the brand is cool, I’ve found a lot of good products for me. This primer is actually the first disappointment from them. Seriously, 2 stars only.
