☆♡☆ Hey! ☆♡☆
I adore writing eyeshadow palettes reviews, this is why I’ll try my best to make this beauty as interesting as possible:
Urban Decay Backtalk Eye & Face Palette
The price of the palette is $46.00, but there’s always a chance to meet it discounted. Maybe it’s worth waiting for the sales.
☆♡☆ Pre-story: ☆♡☆
This Blacktalk palette isn’t the first palette that I bought from the Urban Decay brand. Sometime ago I couldn’t make up my mind and decide which palette to buy - the second or the third Naked. Eventually I opted for the second Naked, which later turned out to be a mistake for me and I kept on longing for the dusky-pink palette. I was already almost ready to splurge on the third palette when they released this Blacktalk edition. This is when I decided to buy this one, because it seemed to be more practical in my opinion and it also offered the eyeshadows of gentle colors, as well as face products like blushers and a highlighter.

The palette is done in the beautiful powder-pink color:

The mirror is kind of unusual here - it’s two-sided and I can easily take it out of the palette, i. e. you can take it out while doing your makeup, letting the palette lay on the table, for instance. So convenient! But, on the other hand, this advantage is accompanied with a disadvantage, though. You see, the palette will never close correctly if the mirror isn't there. It means there’s a risk of dropping the mirror if you don’t take it out and keep in the palette as it is. I mean, not everybody will like this featured frill for sure. Yet still, I have to admit that it looks effective, yes.
There’s no brush provided, but I don’t even need it. I’ve never used any UD provided brushes before. I’m for brush-free makeup palettes, because this way the palette will definitely be priced cheaper.

☆♡☆ Palette contents ☆♡☆
The palette has two sections with the products - for your face and eyes.
This is a section with the face products:

One highlighter shade and three shades of blusher:
☆♡☆ Blusher ☆♡☆:
Cheap shot: classic cool-toned pink blusher with a slight hint of satin finish:
Double take: classic light peachy-pink blush. The satin is barely noticeable here:
Low key: fair peach-golden blusher, which can be also used as a highlighter:

Party foul: fair, pearlescent highlighter of fine mill, which is super pleasant to the touch. It creates a beautiful delicate glow on my skin.
All the face products have a pleasant, finely milled texture, that looks harmonious and seamless on my skin.

☆♡☆ Eyeshadows ☆♡☆:
Urban Decay Backtalk Eye & Face Palette
3 sheets: Matte pink-milk basic shade
Bake: shimmer rose gold
Curve: it’s a more cool-toned and intense rose gold color
Backtalk: this one is of the same name with the palette. It’s a pink matte color, perfect for the crease.
Shade: shimmer crimson-pink color with a red casing. The brightest shade from the palette and probably the most whimsical one here. I have to pack it with the brush or dab with my finger. And if I layer it, it always looks as bright as in the pan. Just take in mind this small fuss about it.
Attitude: shimmer pink cool bronze shade with purple notes here
WTF: warm-toned brick matte color
180: dark grunge brown bronze for the smokey eyes or darkening
All the colors are the same as in the previously launched palette by Urban Decay: the quality is top notch, the pigmentation is awesome, all the shimmers are creamy and really remind me of the foiled eyeshadows, the blending is gorgeous and smooth.

My makeup only with the Blacktalk palette:
And here I added some vibrancy with the help of other eyeshadows:
The only gripe that the palette has is that it isn’t totally pink but more red-toned. On the pan the shades look red, but on the skin they seem to have more crimson and warm brick-toned shades… Maybe the palette seems to have pink shades because of the outward pink and misleading design. But in general, I liked these eyeshadows. When I want my makeup to look more pink toned, I just add some NYX blusher and get a beautiful result.
☆♡☆ Is the palette worth buying? ☆♡☆
Well, this is a big and individual question. But I think that you need it if:
you collect eyeshadow palettes or you are a great fan of the Urban Decay brand (I get two ticks here):
you don’t have a colored palette such as this and you need a good quality product, which is also pleasant to look at.
Is the palette worth the money?
- It definitely is!
Do I recommend it?
- Yes, I do. First of all, I’m pleased with the quality and secondly I like the palette offers both - face and eyes products.
Now I can’t get enough of it and I always take it with me while travelling. Currently I have to travel a lot and it’s so bulky to carry too many products with me. But this palette saves a lot of room and I don’t have to take a highlighter, blush and eyeshadows with me anymore. Everything is given here + a good quality mobile mirror.
The palette lived up to my expectation. I’m really delighted with it and I never feel sorry that I purchased it. It has no issues quality-wise.
Of course the palette isn’t affordably priced, but first of all, it’ll last you a lifetime and secondly, it’s so worth treating yourself from time to time :)
