Today I’ll show you 4 shades of the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Gel Glitter out of 6 presented in the collection.

This summer the brand released a lot of glitter products like glitter eyeliners and gels. The glitter gel collection has 6 shades of different colors and textures. I was immediately hooked on them, especially when I saw their promo where they applied it! It’s not a regular glitter we’re used to which is so tough to tame sometimes. It felt like this texture would be butter-like and given my ham-handed skills, it would still work for me, helping to create so many interesting makeups.

Packaging: It’s safe and the products won’t leak through it because the consistency is thick yet not tough.

The glitters aren’t sticky, they’re soft and pliant. Easy to work with because I can take them out so nicely.

 

Well, glitter makeup isn’t actually for daily life. It’ll be the bomb for a photo shoot or as a festive accent for a party.

Yet, I still managed to use it for my evening makeup when having a great time by the sea. May I not mention my husband's reaction? I think he’ll get used.

 

Heavy Metal glides on easily with a brush or your fingertips, and it stays put for up to 9 hours with minimal fallout—wherever the night or morning-after takes you.

SHADES:

1. The pink one is called Heavy Metal Saturday Stardust. It has some big and finely milled glitter bits of pink and light green shades.

 

2. The second is Urban Decay Disco DayDream. Also, it’s infused with small and big glittering beads.

 

3. Soul Love. In my book, the name is rather gentle for this bold and saturated shade.

 

Attention, please! The product doesn’t have any chunky shimmer, only finely-milled ones. Consistency-wise, they remind me of the fish roe.

4. It’s a very gentle lilac shade, even though it looks like heaven sky. This shade is called Party Monster. Monster? For me, it’s more like a sensitive angel.

 

SWATCHES

The swatches are the same order as I described them. Pay attention to this photo. Here you can see one drop of the product if I press the tube intentionally.

 

Then I have one drop which was blended out a little. Look at this play of color. I couldn’t show it through the camera.

 

MAKEUP

1. Silver as it is

Full-on makeup

At first, I liked this shade the least. But now, it’s one of my most favorite ones. I love wearing it alone as well as pairing with other shades.

 

2. This is my favorite gel glitter. It hooks me with its colors and bright castings. It’ll beautifully assemble floral print in your clothes as well as strict and classy white-and-black looks.

 

FULL-ON MAKEUP:

 

3. Bold dark blue and gentle blue glitter. I use them both.

The blue one, the same as lilac can’t be shown true to life through the camera. In life, it looks amazeballs!

The combination of the Party Monster and blue Soul Love.

 

4. Again, the fourth makeup, but this time different colors and textures - Soul Love and Daydream. I think this combination looks more harmonious and beautiful!

Thanks to this yellow eyeliner, my eyes seem bigger and more popping.

 

THE GOOD

- unscented

- soft and pliant texture

- no primer needed, long-wearing

- it can be packed. I don’t feel the glitter on my eyes

- no irritation to my eyes even if I wear it very close to the waterline

 

THE BAD

- if you apply it thicker and rub your eyes, the top coat of the glitter may fall out. No, keep your hands away.

 

OVERALL

This Urban Decay Gel Glitter is a stretch of the imagination. You can use them as standalone products as well as pair them too. You can add one another or accent your eyes with the glistening shades.

It’s perfection for anyone who is confident and daring. Of course, if you’re a dancer, singer or actor, you’ll know how to fit it into your makeup.

 

But if you’re an average person, which wants to look more daring and bold at times, go for it.

 

For me, these glitters are a good step for a more confident side. I don’t use them often but when I do, I’ve got such a pleasure!

I wish my life was filled with more events and reasons to use these sparkles from Urban Decay.
