ღ ღ ღ ღ ღ Friendly hello to you guys! ღ ღ ღ ღ ღ

💄 I can remember the mention of Urban Decay since watching my first and most-loved beauty blogger. The most important thing that I can recollect is that it’s a very pricey-luxurious-posh brand that is adored by all the Kardashian family. At that time I couldn’t even have guessed that I’d be lucky enough to try the products by this brand myself.

And I want to start off with their lip gloss which literally won me over with its unbelievable shade as well as with its amazing… flavour. 💄

It’s a rather new product in the market today, so I feel very proud to write a review of it among one of the first reviewers.

Urban Decay Hi Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss

Where to buy - beauty stores or on the official website.

Price - $20 (that was pretty obvious from the brand)

Outer appearance

Well, the design is absolutely true to the price. The product looks posh and absolutely stunning. The packaging is of really good quality. Holding the product in my hands, I can feel it that it’s a high-end lip gloss. I deem it’ll be very pathos-looking to make selfies with this product.

Here’s a branded Urban Decay logo of the lippie tube:

On the sides you can see the true color of the lip gloss inside. My pictures weren’t photoshopped, yet still there’s a little bit of the color distortion present. In life the product looks lighter.

It’s uber soft and it applies the product over my lips with mega pleasant sensations. This is one of the best lipstick applicators for me. They called it “cushioning” for a reason. And I also want to draw your attention to one of its features. I don’t know why but it feels as though the applicator gets back to the tube a little bit tough. It seems that the air inside pushes the applicator out.

Product description

An ultra-shiny lip gloss that glides on cushiony-soft and provides long-lasting wear that’s comfortable, not tacky.

Laced with vitamin E and peppermint oil, Urban Decay’s hydrating formula leaves lips feeling nourished, creates the look of fuller lips, and comes in a yummy vanilla-mint flavor. And wait until you see the lineup. Whatever gloss frequency you’re on, Hi-Fi has got you covered. Tune in to everything from blaring brights to soft neutrals in four different finish effects—metallic, holographic, cream, and sheer cream.

Finally, a gloss that is sexy and comfy at the same time. Hi-Fi Shine Lip Gloss delivers ultra-shiny color that won’t feather or bleed. UD’s shade range is stacked with sheer, sparkly, and pigment-rich options to amp up your look.

Choose from chart-topping shades that include everything from soft to loud. As expansive as this lineup is, the shades look great on every skin tone. Try the holographic shades (like SPL and Snapped); the must-have neutral, Naked; or Obsessed, the perfect universal light pink.

The sleek, modern container is clear, so you can easily pick your shade out of a handbag. The iridescent, metallized frame makes the gloss look like it’s floating inside. As an added bonus: Because the tube is flat, it fits perfectly in your pocket. The flexible, flocked-silicone paddle applicator is the newest technology, and allows you to swipe on a generous, even layer of gloss. No need to double dip, but please do if you want to.

Colors and swatches

There are so many colors in the collection!

My shade is called BACKTALK and the manufacturer describes it as “mauve nude pink” but honestly I don’t see any mauve shades here, while pink yes, there are a lot of them.

In the swatches you can see that the product has a mirror-like shine. But don’t believe that shine too quickly, as the product will set in a few minutes on your lips and will look more moussy-like, rather than just bright and shiny.

And yeah, please don’t pay much attention to the stain above the swatch. I did it when I accidentally touched my skin with the applicator wand.

The coverage is rather detectable on my lips, but, it was pretty surprising for me to discover that the finish isn’t tacky at all.

Usually all the lip glosses are too tacky and unpleasant for me. But with this product it’s fine and I really expect only pleasant sensations while wear.

It’s also logical that during the application, the lip gloss brings a pleasant cooling effect to my lips.

The color looks natural, as it’s a tad darker than my natural lip pigment. You’ll see it yourself in the overall photo. There it looks bright, yet, it isn’t too bright at the same time.

The product doesn’t crease or feather on my lips.

  • The texture isn’t tacky, but on the contrary, it’s hydrating and pretty thick. I wouldn’t say that it’s runny or lightweight.

  • This lip gloss really brings some moisture to my lips.

  • The lippie doesn’t accentuate flaking or dry patches.

  • The application is easy-breezy.

And my total look:

Staying power

I can’t tell you that the product has excellent staying power. It stays on on my lips for about 3 hours. But in general I can’t say that there are many lipsticks which are able to stay on my lips for a long time. So, for my lips, 3 hours of wearing is normal wear time.

This lip gloss will partly stay after a meal and a cup of coffee. It won’t fade completely, but will stay on the edges of the lips.

I can only recommend this decent, beautiful and expensive-looking Hi Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss for purchasing. Smile
