Hello everybody! I can’t get enough of lipsticks, especially liquid matte lipsticks, so I have finally decided to treat myself with a much desired Vice Liquid Lipstick by Urban Decay.
Price: $18
Size: 5.3 ml
The color selection features an array of shades and two finishes: comfort matte and metallic. From neutrals with an Urban Decay edge to bold brights, there’s something for everyone. This collection features must-have colors to limited-edition, cult-classics. This formula is loaded with pearls and glitter, so the shade lineup ranges from shimmery to matte.
The packaging of the lipstick is just top level. First of all the box is adorned with bright lipstick prints and always brings me into high spirits. Secondly the top cap is very beautiful and I can see that it's made of good quality materials. The cap is gunmetal and metallic.
The applicator is rather big and soft. I find it very easy and quick to apply the lipstick over my lips. The fragrance is a little bit confectionery but it isn’t chasing or intense. I don’t think it’ll irritate anyone, even those with sensitive noses.
My choice fell on the tender pink shade which is called “Trivial”. They claim it to be matte and I can say that technically it’s truly matte, though the formula is enriched with teeny-tiny golden shimmer particles which are almost invisible on the lips yet they make my lips more pouty.
The product applies with one layer, easily hiding my natural lip color even on the first swipe. The dry down is almost immediate and after that the lippie becomes transfer-proof, leaving no stains on clothes or skin. I also used all the famous lipsticks by Lime Crime and in comparison with this one I can say that the UD lipstick doesn’t apply with a thick layer and is absolutely non-drying. Vice Lipstick by UD is lightweight (I usually apply it and I can even forget that I do have my lips covered with a lipstick). It doesn’t dry out my lips (even though they are very problematic and have a tendency to dry out even after the regular stick lippies) and is really long-wearing. Even after 6 hours of wearing it still looked good on my lips and didn't crease into a white nasty film or fade.
I also like to apply a little bit of the lippie with my fingers. If applied this way it looks the most natural on the lips and makes my lips look fuller and pouty.
The bottom line: I’m head over heels with this lippie and I do really want to buy some other shades from the collection, maybe the darker or brighter ones.
