Recently I’ve become not only eyeshadow- but also lipstick-addicted.

Today I’ll go through the lipstick that is on par with Lime Crime, Huda, etc… It’s the Sephora Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick.
I’ve been choosing between Red Hot from Lime Crime, Liquid Suede Metallic Matte from NYX and this one, but I decided to settle on the last one.
Shade: 064 Metallic Cherry.
Price: $14
It costs almost like any other NYX lipstick, but the quality, staying power and wear are way better here.
Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a plastic tube with little information:

Size: 5 ml, which is even more than with the Lime Crime lipstick.

The tube closes with a clicking sound and opens up effortlessly.
The applicator is standard and slanted. It picks up the right amount and applies it to my lips evenly and smoothly.
Swatches and application
The formula is more creamy than liquid, which is for the best, as the lipstick won’t bleed then.
The scent is super-sweet and reminds me of milk chocolate.
It applies easy-breezy and streak-free. Here is a picture by warm lighting:

But it looks absolutely different on my lips. At first I contour my lips with a lip pencil and then only apply this lipstick to them.
It feels very comfortable for the first 10 minutes. After that, however, it seems to tighten my lips just a tiny bit. Then it feels alright and the lipstick doesn’t bleed.
By warm lighting
It sets very quickly, so don’t hesitate when applying. It settles into my lip lines, but it doesn’t look creepy.
By cool lighting
The wear and my feel are very similar to the Lime Crime lipsticks and this option even beats them a little in that department. The lipstick is softer and not that liquid as Lime Crime.
Moreover, the NYX Soft Matte and Lingerie ranges are not even on the same playing field as this stuff, as they are drying to my lips and not that long-wearing. Plus, the Lingerie lipsticks have an off-putting smell.
Removal and wear time
The lipstick lasts very well till the first greasy foods. It wears after a cup of tea well, but leaves stains on it. As for fruits, it doesn’t last through them.
It removes with a micellar water very well, but I prefer using a cleansing oil for this purpose.
After removal my lips do not look overly dry or dehydrated, but I still moisturize them with a lip balm. As for the wear time, it’s on par with Lime Crime.
My verdict
Would I repurchase this lipstick with a metallic finish? No, because it’s not suitable for everyday wear. But I will definitely use it for Hollywood makeups with red lips.

If you are looking for a nice and affordable lipstick that is comfortable to wear and perfect for special occasions, I say go for this one!
I would recommend this lipstick to a friend. It’s a steal!
