It’s always so pleasant when you find a really worthy product among affordable brands. However, sometimes there’s just nothing to look at. And this is what happened to me this time. I was anxiously waiting for a Wet'n'Wild box and as a result, I was slightly puzzled when I compared this product with the number of positive reviews of it.

The product comes packed with a see-through prolong tube. It’s a standard packaging for such products. The top cap was wrapped with a protective tape, that ensures that you’re the first to open it.
The sponge is regular - like a small spatula. In fact, it doesn’t even matter what shape the sponge has, because I’ll still apply it either with my fingers or brushes anyway. However, I still have to wipe the leftovers over the rims, and this is actually one of the first disadvantages of the product, as well as its setting. I meant the formula sets too quickly. I have to apply it with several moves, so as not to get a streaky finish.

The color can be described as dark gray or gray-blue which is laced with an abundance of silver shimmer. I can’t say that it reminds me of a holographic shade, as the maker states, no, it’s more like a metallic one or a regular pearlescent (shimmering) eyeshadow.

Even the swatch reveals uneven texture and patchy finish of the product. My idea is that if you apply it over your naked skin, you won't get anything good, because the formula lacks pigment with a prevailing shimmer. So, the product is more like a topper, rather than a solo eyeshadow.

However, I’m not pleased with the result when it’s used as a topper too. This is all probably due to my formalism when it comes to application and here it isn’t on my side. But still, let’s have a look at the product applied over some dry-textured eyeshadows.

This is obvious that one should be very careful during application with this eyeshadow, as the formula can budge the previously applied layer. I applied some product on the back of my hand, then took it with my fingertip and only after that started dabbing it onto my eyelids.

I had to work quickly, so the result didn’t look neat. And I don’t even want to mention the comfort. To top it off, I had to wash the product off my hand afterwards. This liquid formula somehow managed to dissolve the dry textured base, so I also had to work on the lash line additionally. And all that torture is for the result that I can easily gain with dry textured eyeshadows.

And I won’t even have to try too hard. It’ll be much easier. I don’t appreciate that this formula is almost impossible to blend out well. It doesn’t want to layer and if I apply a lot, I’ll get clumps and splotches.

But I’m a BLOGGER and I had to accept that challenge. I tried to apply it over different bases and the most worthy turned out to be the liquid matte Lingerie lipstick from NYX. It sets well and doesn’t budge as a base.
I did it the following way: at first, I applied the matte liquid lipstick as a base. After that, I blended out the edges. Then I applied the hero of this review with my fingers very quickly. Next, I used a palette with some transition shades to add dimension and shades shift. Kayal, mascara and that’s it.

The result went unexpectedly cool. But at the same time, I understand that 90% of women will never agree to bother so much every day. And all the other techniques of application definitely lead me to washing my makeup off, because I can’t even leave my house looking like that mess. And yes, here the accent of my makeup isn’t a topper actually, it’s all about the vinous base, which shines with transition colors nicely.
As for the wear, it’s solid here, which again is more like a drawback, considering all that was said above, because it’ll be a pain to wash off with micellar water and I always have to add some oil or use a cleansing oil instead.

As you’ve already guessed, I can’t and won’t recommend this product. There’s a pile of better ones which cost the same and they are easier and quicker to work with. And I don’t want to spend so much time with this tube. No, thanks.
I was thinking on whether to give it 2 or 3 stars and eventually decided that it’s 2. I feel sorry, but I really expected something better.
