Hi!
I own a huge lipstick collection and in order to reduce it I regularly throw away all outsiders. This time, it’s Wet n Wild MegaSlick Balm Stain. I bought it last summer but didn’t use frequently. In September, I put it into my bag and realized that I didn’t want to keep it for many reasons.
Packaging: It’s really cheap. The cap always gets stained by the product, as well as the housing. Plus, the stick is too long and easy to damage with the cap.
Smell: The lip stain is scentless.
Texture: The product has a pleasant lightweight, gel-creamy texture that soaks in quickly and leaves nothing but tint behind. It doesn’t bleed and doesn’t require a lip pencil. I would say this product will perfectly suit those who like weightless textures on their lips.
Color:
My color is 126 Rico Mauve. It’s a standard dusty rose and yet it has a huge downside. It’s dusty only for the first 10-15 minutes, but then it turns into something really vivid and bright, which I don’t like. The lip stain is long-lasting, it stays on even after a cup of tea and I have to remove it with micellar water.
I can’t use this lip stain and I don’t really want to. At first sight, it’s quite good, easy and soft in application, but it leaves stains and may look patchy.
But the main reason is that I have dry lips and this lip stain makes them even drier instead of protecting them against the wind. It’s a fail for any lip balm, no matter if it’s colored or not.
Pros:
- Nice formula
- The color is beautiful at first
- Long-lasting
Cons:
- Changes the color
- Dries my lips out
I really regret spending those few bucks on it. It’s two stars - one for handy housing and one for lasting power. If you like such colors, maybe you’ll like this lip stain too.
