Greetings!
Today I’d like to tell you about the amazing and affordable product I’ve recently discovered, namely the Wet 'n Wild Megaslicks Balm Lip Stain in rico mauve.
The lip stain is available in many colors, for everyday and evening makeup.
The color is versatile and would suit anyone.
Personally, I don’t like lip glosses. I don’t like vibrant lipsticks or any lipsticks at all, as they might smudge all over me. I don’t like anything but a lip balm on my lips. I freaking hate the feeling of something yucky on my lips.
Then why have I bought this lip stain?
I just piled it in my cart, when I was shopping online. There were so many tempting reviews of this shade on the website, and I couldn’t help but buy it.
I liked its description plus the colors were versatile (I was on the lookout for an everyday lip product, as I already had many evening ones). The product was budget-friendly ($5) and I decided to give it a try.
It’s my first lip product from Wet n Wild and boy, it won’t be my last! The lip stain is really worth your attention.
The lip stain comes in a stick, which is very handy and convenient. At first, I thought it would be hard to apply it, but it wasn’t. I got used to it really quickly. It’s easy to contour my lips with, when necessary.
The lip stain doesn’t melt. It’s solid, and only starts melting when touched by something warm (hands, lips etc.). Don’t be afraid, it won’t smudge, unless you apply too much.
The balm comes in a twist up stick with a transparent cap - every time you have to make sure that it closed tightly.
The color itself is quite interesting. It looks brown in the stick. There are even hardly noticeable glitters in it, which aren’t visible on the lips. I wouldn’t like them, by the way, because I think they would look cheap.
The balm melts on the lips, moisturizes and nourishes them, and feels really nice. It gives a prickling feeling. I like stuff like that, but in this case the prickling isn’t annoying. It’s delicate and gentle and even kind of pleasant.
The balm comes off delicately, without leaving white residue on the lips. It has no scent or taste, pretty durable on the lips (it can survive a cup of coffee). It stays on for 3 hours (without snacks) and then the most interesting things start to happen.
The gloss turns into a lip tint. In both cases - as a lip and as a leftover tint - it makes my lips look somewhat fuller.
My lips are not something to be proud of. With this balm, I finally have full and beautiful lips. Even matte lipsticks didn’t give such an effect, or gave it after a long struggle.
But with this product everything is quite simple - I apply it in a thin layer, and the menthol in the list of ingredients makes my lips appear bigger.
So, let’s conclude:
- the lip balm is affordable
- it has a bright rich color, the intensity can be varied.
- has no smell or taste
- available in many colors
- the stick is convenient to carry and store
- gives a prickling feeling
- melts on the lips and applies pleasantly
- makes lips appear bigger
- applies without gaps, doesn’t smudge, doesn’t stain teeth or accentuate their other-than-white color.
- moisturizes the lips
- comes off evenly, leaving a tint effect behind (a very durable one, I’d say)
- may dry lips out, but only a bit.
- lasts 3 hours without meals
- contains hardly visible shimmer particles, which probably create the effect of the full lips
- the product is really long lasting. A little goes a long way
- makes lips softer and nourishes them.
I can highly recommend this lip stain. It offers a good value for money. And I’ll definitely buy it in other shades!
