Some words about my brows: I’m naturally brunette and my brows are rather thick and dark. Every 2-3 weeks I do my brows at a salon, alternating a brow color with henna - 3 times henna, 1 time a brow color.
But unfortunately, neither henna nor brow color can stay on my brows for more than a week. Besides, the brow artists don’t advise doing my brows more often than once in 2 weeks so as not to dry out my skin as well as brow hairs too. I’m not into permanent makeup because I love the natural finish. I also don’t like brow pencils because of the same reasons.
It was about a month ago when a sales rep at one of the beauty stores recommended this product from YSL. At first, I was rather skeptical about it. When she offered to apply some, I had been anticipating the look of a black-browed gal to see in the mirror. But after the actual application, I had to change my mind. My brows looked natural and were beautifully filled in and shaped. The hairs didn’t appear darker, though they still looked more defined.
At that moment, my hair was dark and I opted for the shade #01 Brun Dore. Now my hair is lighter but I still keep on using this product, even though it’s a little bit too dark for me. If you’re blonde or chestnut, it’s better to opt for the shade #02 Blond Cendre for you.
Since the product is high-end, it’s obvious that it has a hefty price tag. However, the tube is big here, 7.7ml and it’ll go a long way. I’ve been using mine for 8 years already and it’s still there and not used up.

The product is really long-wearing and it doesn’t fall out or crumble during the day. The color doesn’t fade. I also appreciate that the YSL Brow Couture doesn’t make my hairs stiff. I think it’s worth the price it costs.
It’s troublesome to wash off with water because the formula seems to be waterproof, so I recommend using makeup removers.
