One of my favorite nail products brand is Essie. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to find products by this brand in my city, as they appeared at the stores very recently. Once I bought a couple of colors and decided to go and buy one more. When I went to the store, I found out that everything was sold out. I could remember that there were so many colors there, but no, nothing was on the counter any more. The shop assistant told me that the Essie lacquers wouldn’t appear soon and I was very upset. When I first saw these lacquers, I bought Sexy Divide. When I went there for the second time I bought two more colors, they were a little bit alike and very popular last summer. I don’t know what will be popular this season, but I’m absolutely sure that gentle, nude colors will always be trendy.
In my collection there are four colors by Essie. And the hero of my today’s review is a nail lacquer which is called Need a Vacation.
The consistency of this product is very good, it’s not liquid, but at the same time not thick. I would say that it’s something in between.
The bottle is stylish and standard. I like the design of Essie nail lacquers.
The size is 13.5 ml
In the bottle there are two metallic balls.
The expiration date is within 3 years
Made in France
The lacquer doesn’t thicken very quickly, which is very pleasant.
There are so many colors in the collection, so you can choose any that you might possibly like: from the most gentle, fair, pastel to the brightest, bold and intense. I’ve been looking for this color for a very long time and was really happy when I actually found it:)
The brush is very good, it’s wide, looks like a Rimmel brush, and flat. Using this brush you can create a beautiful, neat manicure.
It’s very convenient to polish my nails with it, the product doesn't leave streaks, bubbles or patches.
It’s enough to apply one layer and it covers my whole nail plate, but I like to layer it, in two or even three coats. In this case I applied two.
There’s a scent, it’s chemical, as in any other nail lacquer by another brand.
It looks very glossy on my nails and there’s no shimmer. It applies evenly and beautifully.
While I’m busy with one hand, the lacquer on the other dries out and I can start applying the second layer. I like the color very much. Of course it’s not for winter season. It’s summer and sunny. It’s associated with cookies, especially with macaroons. These cookies are so beautiful, gentle and soft, like the lacquer color itself. I’ll tell that again that there are 4 colors of Essie in my collection. They are:
1) Need a Vacation
2) Sexy Divide
3) All Tied Up
4) Mint Candy Apple
With the help of these two colors I can create a very gentle manicure. Here’s one of them:
The staying power isn’t bad, they stay on my nails for about 5 days. I can easily leave this color on my nails for quite a long time, as I’m not bored of it. It removes easily with nail polish remover, and it doesn’t stain my nail with pink pigment after which is, again, very pleasant.
The lacquer in the dim lighting:
I absolutely love this doll-ish nail color and I’m very happy that I bought it.
I recommend this color to everybody, and yeah, if you haven't tried any nail polishes by Essie yet, you should definitely do it
Thanks for your attention!
