I want to share my thoughts on the Orly nail lacquer. I have it in the color 48718 Ancient Jade. I ordered it online and unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews of this very color beforehand. Looking through the pictures online I used to think that this color would be fairer and more pastel-like. But in reality it arrived darker in the bottle and even more dark-looking on my nails. But tastes are different and I guess there are people who will like it more than I do.
Size - 5.3 ml
The brush is small (I prefer bigger brushes). But it’s really good quality-wise and I had only minor problems during application with it.
I usually apply two coats for an opaque coverage.
The product goes a long way.
It dries down quickly.
I can wear it for three days in a row.
I didn’t like the fact that the product shows the relief of my nail plate even though I applied a base coat before these two coats of nail lacquer.
I appreciate those nail lacquers that give an opaque coat on the first stroke. But this one doesn’t. Besides, the brush defines all the uneven areas. But still I’ll assess the product with 4 stars as its characteristics are good, it dries down quickly and wears for three days.
There are some lacquers from my collection which chip off even within one day of wear.
Here I want to show you my bubble mani.
At first I do some design on my nails, adding some gradient.
This is how it looks with a matte top coat:
But for the bubble makeup you won’t need the top coat.
All you need to do is to apply some nail polish fixer after the gradient coat and then mix some white acrylic paint with water. Then put the drops of this mixture on your nails and after that blot the centers of bubbles with q-tips.
And here’s the result:
Thanks for your attention!
