Today I’m going to talk about the Daily Moisturizing Lotion from Aveeno.
The peculiarities of my skin:
My fair skin is dry and thin. I take good care of it, that’s why I have hardly any skin problems. Moreover, I rarely have allergies and I’m not really sensitive to smells. I am lucky that I have no serious issues with my skin.
Description:
This nourishing lotion is clinically proven to improve the health of dry skin in 1 day with significant improvement in 2 weeks. Packaging
I love the packaging. It’s a convenient tube with 532 ml with a pump dispenser, which is really practical and hygienic, as you don’t have to go into the bottle with your fingers. The pump can be opened and closed, which is also quite important.
Smell and texture
The texture is lightweight and not greasy, i.e. perfect for every day after the shower. The product soaks in rapidly, but the skin feels sticky for the first two minutes. What is more, it doesn’t leave any film on the body, so you can put your clothes on safely.
Smell: That’s where things go wrong… I don’t like the smell at all! The smell is disgusting to me, but it’s actually hard to describe it. It reminds me of a hospital or something. I can feel the smell for about 30 mins quite distinctly.
Ingredients:
Active Ingredients:Dimethicone 1.2%
Inactive Ingredients: Water, glycerin, distearyldimonium chloride, petrolatum, isopropyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, avena sativa (oat) kernel flour, benzyl alcohol, sodium chloride.
Result
I love it! The light texture absorbs quickly leaving my skin moisturized and silky smooth. The dryness of the skin is gone after washing. The product moisturizes my skin for 24 hours, I mean it!
My impressions:
It’s a nice everyday lotion for people with dry skin to use in warm weather. The brand is decent and recommended by dermatologists. The product does what it promises.
The only downside for me is its smell. I’m not planning on repurchasing this lotion, but I’m going to try other versions of the brand. I would recommend the product to people with normal to dry skin who are sick of applying oily and greasy creams and waiting forever till they absorb. It’s suitable for everyday use, if you are OK with the smell.
