Hi there,
I already have my favorite makeup remover, but as it always happens we may sometimes get bored with our faves. Moreover, we always hope that something new may be even better than the products we got used to. That was the case with the Avene micellar water.
Avene Cleansing Micellar Lotion:

Design
The lotion comes in an adorable transparent plastic bottle that fits well in my hand. The cap opens easily and closes very tightly.
It is packed in a white cardboard package, where you can find all the necessary information: expiry date, ingredients and suggested use.
Avene Cleansing Micellar Lotion
Scent
It’s a very mild and light cosmetic scent that is pretty enjoyable and not-in-your-face. It dissipates quickly.

Consistency
It’s liquid and colorless like water.

The lotion in action:
Right up, I bought this product specifically for removing makeup. I have pretty oily eyelids, so eye pencils usually transfer on my lid, that’s why I usually use waterproof gel eyeliners that are not that easy to take off.
Moreover, I don’t put on makeup without an eyeshadow base, but a usual cleansing oil does a good job here.
Well, I was underwhelmed by the results after the first use. The lotion doesn't remove waterproof eyeliner and an ordinary mascara very well.
I had to use more cotton pads and more water to remove it as opposed to the two-phase cleansing oil I used before.
As a result it doesn’t take off my makeup completely.
Since makeup removes on the second or even on the third go, I have to rub my eyes with a cotton pad. As a result my eyes get red. In addition, the product burns them when it comes into contact with them.
But it works better with normal lipsticks and foundations and I feel comfortable even if I have to remove the lipstick twice.
After a while I tried to remove mascara without a waterproof eyeliner and it worked alright here.
It did irritate my eyes but not that much as the first time. And I didn’t have to rub them.
Anyway I’d like to note that both times I had a sticky film after removing, which is not enjoyable at all, so I washed my face again.

Overall thoughts
I don’t use this lotion frequently. It’s useful only when I have little makeup on (mascara, powder and a lip gloss).
If I have long-wearing makeup on, I keep on using my favorite two-phase cleansing oil that removes everything on the first go.
I’m not sure if I should recommend it to anyone. I can’t give it more than 3 stars and this is my personal take on it.
Minus one star because it takes off makeup on the second try and minus another star because it burns my eyes.
Repurchase? Nah.
