My skin was overly dry, because I’m trying to get rid of acne. Basically my whole body was absolutely dry, not only my face. As for my body, I managed to cope with the problem without fuss, but it was much harder to find a suitable cream for my face, though.
Honestly, I didn’t expect any miracle when I bought this cream by accident, but I’m so glad that I found it!
So meet my “lifesaver” - the moisturizing cream for normal to dry skin from CeraVe!
The cream comes in a 1.89 oz (56ml) tube.
What they say:
Moisturizes, restores and maintains protective skin barrier
Non-Comedogenic, non-irriatating, developed with dermatologists
Helps restore and maintain the skin's natural protective function
Contains ceramides that moisturize and soften skin
Moisturizing cream provides all-day moisturization with a single application and is clinically proven to increase skin hydration
The design is straightforward and simple. If I have seen the product in a drugstore, I would’ve never paid attention to it.
The cream comes without any paper packaging or protective film, what surprised me at first. The lid closes tightly, so it’s highly unlikely that the cream leaks.
I know very little about the ingredients and I’m and not a big fan of natural products. Besides, I’m not at all afraid of silicone in shampoos. That being said that my life motto is: “It must be working, that’s it.”
Now I’m going to tell you about the consistency and smell briefly.
The cream is non-scented, but has a slight and gentle synthetic smell, which reminds me of glycerin actually. I like it. It’s not an obnoxious, obtrusive or off-putting scent.
The texture is so unusual to me after I’ve tried all these nourishing and moisturizing creams. The product is thick, but spreads out well. It’s not at all oily, but somewhat waxy. Moreover, it soaks in the tracks making my skin matte and silky.
At the moment I’m trying to get rid of acne, therefore it’s crucial for me that the cream causes no inflammation. After the use I saw positive results only!
The product absorbs really fast without leaving my face sticky or greasy.
My skin was utterly dry, so that I couldn’t even smile. My lips and the corners of my mouth were chapped, that’s why I can say that CeraVe cream is a real lifesaver.
When I first applied it to my skin, I felt relief and could smile broadly
I use the product under my eyes too and feel comfortable with it. The foundation applies very well and doesn’t crease. I think a damp beauty blender is also very helpful here.
I’ve been using the cream for 2 months and always worried that it would run out in no time. However, my treatment is getting closer to an end, but the tube is still full. So I can conclude that the product is really economical.
Can the girls with oily and dehydrated skin use it?
It’s hard to answer this question, ‘cause my skin gets better now and I stopped applying the cream during the day, because my skin was getting shiny.
To round up, I’d say that CeraVe has managed to replace all the other products for me. I use it not only as a moisturizing cream in the morning and at night, but also as a cream for the under eye area. It moisturized my skin and removes irritation.
I highly recommend this fabulous cream!
P.S. Hope the word “cream” that I’ve used so frequently doesn’t bother you.
