I bought this Instant Eye Make-Up Remover by Clarins for the second time for my vacation. On a daily basis I hardly ever use waterproof makeup products, but while on holiday they are my must-haves. I just can’t even imagine how it is possible to get by without waterproof makeup on holiday.

Design
The matte plastic bottle looks very simple. Sometimes it feels as though it is my nail polish remover, because it’s housed in almost the same looking bottle of blue color. I hope I never confuse them in a hurry. The bottle was packed with a plastic seal. There’s a dispenser, well, not actually a dispenser, just a hole in the tube, but still I find it convenient in use. The top cap closes tightly, so you can be sure that nothing will leak.
Ingredients:
Cyclomethicone, Water, Isohexadecane, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Tetrasodium EDTA, Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate, CI 42090/Blue 1.
According to the official website there are also a lot of fine oils in the components and a lot of skin care ingredients like:
-Volatile Ultra-fine Oils: Remove heavy or waterproof eye makeup without leaving behind an oily residue.
-Cornflower and Rose Water: Comfort, soften, and moisturize delicate skin around the eyes.
-Soya Proteins: Help protect eyelashes.

The consistency of the Instant Eye Make-Up Remover by Clarins is actually bi-phase: the white liquid is more transparent and runny (like a lotion), while the blue liquid is oily. When I mix the two liquids together, I get a beautiful blue oily mixture of these two layers.
Scent
I really like the way this product smells. I know that there are rose and cornflower extracts here, but I don’t feel them with my nose. The aroma is just pleasant and cosmetic-like.
How to use this Instant Eye Makeup Remover by Clarins:
-Shake well before use.
-Soak a cotton pad with product and gently sweep from inner to outer eye.
-Then, cleanse skin using the preferred Clarins cleanser.
-Tone skin using Clarins Toning Lotion for Dry or Normal Skin.
-Finish with the appropriate Clarins moisturizer.
The spending of the product:
I must admit that the product doesn’t go long. I can use it up for 3 months. But again, here everything will depend on the type of makeup you wear. According to it, you’ll use the right amount of this makeup remover.
I want to highlight the following:
The just bought liquid inside is bi-phase, I mean, even though I shake the bottle pretty well before using, the blue (oily) phase runs out faster than the white liquid. And when the product is almost used up, there’s almost no blue phase in the bottle left.
And now - the most important part - makeup removing
My experiment #1
On my wrist I applied a regular eyeliner and a waterproof eye pencil.
And then, as suggested I soaked a cotton pad with the liquid and pressed it over the applied products.
You can see a barely noticeable tint from the eyeliner, though the pencil is more obvious. Then I rubbed my skin more and the pencil was eventually removed as well.

The eye pencil removed on the first go while my mascara didn’t want to leave me too easily and I had to rub it more. Again, 2 cotton rounds.
The product doesn’t remove my makeup as easily as described, though I can see that it works. It really removes all my makeup products. I don’t experience any unpleasant feelings like oily residue on my eyes, or tingling or burning sensation! My under eye skin is so soft and nourished that I don’t even have a desire to wash my eyes with water afterwards.

As for micellar water, I don't think it's efficient enough to remove waterproof eye makeup completely.
I also didn’t like the bi-phase makeup remover by Nivea, as it left sticky residue on my skin and my eye had a white film over after using.
The Lancome BI-FACIL could be a great swap, though its price also leaves much to be desired.

I really liked this Instant Eye Make-Up Remover by Clarins.
It does its job nicely, though not as instantly as promised, yet still the cleansing effect is very delicate and mild. I can feel a pleasant sensation on my skin after using this product and not an oily residue.
The oily disadvantage for me is its price. But since I use this product only on holiday or vacation, which isn’t at all a frequent occasion, the spending is very low. If only the price was more affordable, I’d use it every day. I recommend this Instant Eye Make-Up Remover or water-resistant make-up by Clarins.
