Today I’m reviewing the Clarins Orchidee Bleue Face Treatment Oil for dehydrated skin.
I prefer Korean products to take care of my skin but I just couldn’t pass by this high end product. In winter, because of the central heating, my skin becomes very dry and sensitive.
Usually my skin is normal and tend to dryness in winter, especially around my nose and mouth. That’s why I opted for the dehydrated skin face oil.
For a reference there are 3 products in the line:
Orchidee Bleue - for dehydrated skin
Huile Lotus - for combination and oily skin
Huile Santal - for dry skin.
They say that the product is 100% natural oils based.

So, let’s move onto the product itself. It was packed in a standard Clarins white box. Inside the box there was a 30ml bottle with the oil. The bottle is very easy to use as it comes with a drop dispenser. The bottle is transparent and to keep the oils fresh you need to store it in a dark place.
The product is extremely economical. In the photo you can see the bottle after 2 months of use at least 3 times a week.

Moisture care for Dehydrated Skin. 100% pure plant extracts with no preservatives. This best-selling oil contains extracts of Rosewood, Patchouli and Blue Orchid to tone, revitalise and restore radiance to moisture-depleted skin. Hazelnut Oil helps prevent moisture loss and the formation of fine lines.
Fragrance and consistency:
The fragrance is potent though I like it. I can clearly make out the notes of patchouli there. The consistency is usual for an oil maybe a little bit more runny than we got used to see. 3 drops are enough for me to apply over my face.
Application. Google it please. Online they posted a video on how to apply this product best of all. If you are too lazy to google, I will describe my way for you. Before the oil application I use a toner or lotion. Then I rub 3-4 drops of the product between my palms and press them on my face. If you follow this technique, you’ll never overdo with the oil which means no clogged pores. It absorbs within 15 min max and leaves no oily film.
The result:
Yipes! Here I can write endlessly long. In the morning my skin is like breathing with energy. It’s soft, nourished and moisturized. No dryness or flaking. It never clogs the pores. I also have never had any bad reaction to this oil. I can’t comment upon the lifting effect as my skin is young and isn’t aging-prone (and I do really hope that this oil will help my skin stay young for a very long time as they promise to prevent the formation of lines and wrinkles).
I also used this product as a face primer under my most whimsical foundation Clarins Teint Haute Tenue SPF 15 and I was glad with the result, even though the oil is to be used overnight.
Well, I recommend this product to everybody. But don’t forget that there are only natural oils in the ingredients so test it before buying to eliminate the risk of reaction.
P.S. I tested this product in the toughest conditions. Once I decided to epilate some hairs on my face above the upper lip. As a result of something going wrong I had two small scabies and a lot of flaking. And this oil saved my life! It really moisturized and calmed the damaged skin down. In three days I had already forgotten about this accident.
So, the best recommendation to you the Clarins Orchidee Bleue Face Treatment Oil and my eternal love. My skin looks better!
