This is one of the products I bought from the Clarins website in January. I bought the lotion with a 50% discount.
I have combination skin, which is oily in the T-zone and dehydrated on chin and cheeks. My pores are also enlarged a little bit. This toning lotion is the final step of my skin cleansing routine.
It comes housed in a beautiful plastic bottle with green liquid in it.
Weight: 8 oz/ 200 ml.
The fragrance is floral, like iris. Not the most pleasant smell for me, as I try to avoid such notes in my perfume, but it’s bearable. It causes neither love nor repulsion. The smell reminds me of male perfume from my childhood and lingers on my skin for a few minutes.
Promises:
An alcohol-free toner with purifying iris and sage extracts for oily to combination skin. This must-have toning lotion removes every last trace of cleanser and leaves oily-prone skin pristine-clean and perfectly radiant. Perfect for makeup removal, it tones and tightens pores while helping normalize surface oils.
Effect: All the claims above are true. The lotion does remove any remaining cleansers and makeup, if there is any. This is the result which neither micellar water nor foam could deliver. There is no alcohol among the ingredients, therefore the lotion doesn’t dry out my skin or cause that horrible squeaky feeling. On the contrary, my skin feels smooth and hydrated without stickiness. It’s just a pleasant fresh feeling.
I also noticed that my skin gets less oily throughout the day, and I don’t reach to my face powder as frequently as I did before. I think it’s its hydrating properties to thank, because my skin becomes oily when it doesn’t get enough moisture. This toning lotion solves the problem.
What concerns the enlarged pores: they didn’t become smaller but they didn’t get clogged either.
Absolutely non-comedogenic.
The bottle doesn’t last long, which is typical for most lotions.
