My review of the Clinique Pep-Start Double Bubble Purifying Mask.

🍏 Main info:

Price: $24.50

Size: 50ml

Skin type: any

🍏 Packaging: the mask is housed into a handy tube with a dispenser which is a plus. I need 3-4 pump presses to apply the mask all over my face. I can’t say that spending is minimal.

🍏 Consistency and aroma: the product is rather runny and it’s a gel of pink color. When it’s on my skin for some time, I can see and feel that it “blooms” and lathers. The smell is typical for many Clinique products and it’s barely noticeable.

🍏 Ingredients:

Water\Aqua\Eau, Disiloxane, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Chloride, Morus Nigra (Mulberry) Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Glucosamine, Peg-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Ethylhexylglycerin, Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Peg-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Potassium Hydroxide, Coconut Acid, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Red 33 (Ci 17200)

Nothing natural here.

🍏 Product promises:

Refreshing gel-mask bubbles away debris to purify and energize skin.

A pep rush for skin. In just 2 minutes, this refreshing pink gel mask transforms into a blanket of tiny, debris-lifting bubbles. Add water and it becomes a deep-cleansing lather. Skin looks energized, radiant, feels deeply purified.

🍏 My skin: mixed, dehydrated. It’s dry and flaking on my cheeks when it’s cold. When it’s hot, it’s more oily in my T-zone.

🍏 Impressions of use:

I apply it over my clean skin and I don’t even have time to apply it all over when it starts lathering.

I leave it on for another 2-3 minutes and then rinse off with water. This foam feels strange on my face: as though a tingling sensation. Smile The mask washes off fuss-free and it doesn’t require any additional tools.

The mask doesn’t do anything about my blackheads. In the picture, you can see that my pores remained as clogged as before.

I haven’t noticed any deep cleansing from it. I can see that my complexion is smooth and even lighter a little. My skin is glowing with health but this is where the advantageous results of the mask end. My skin is soft and smooth after any face mask. As for the good, I can list the non-drying effect.

🍏 Overall impressions:

No impressive results from this mask. The cleansing is overall and the results from the mask are poor. I haven’t noticed any accumulative effects from it.

In fact, I’m good with Clinique brand but I think that this product is a failure.
