Pros: a little goes a long way, fragrance-free, instant hydration, makes my skin smooth

Greetings!

I bought the Pep-Start Eye Cream by Clinique (as well as some other products) when they were giving a presentation of their products in my city.

I tested the cream during the presentation. A sales girl helped me apply it evenly under my eyes and she also warned me that the cream could give a light tingling effect. But actually, I didn't feel anything like that. And I wasn’t impressed by the result as well. Why? Keep on reading and you’ll find everything out.

General product information:

  • Size - 15ml but my tester is only 3ml

  • The price of a full sized tube is $26.50

Design:

The design is bright and sunny. The tube is infused with a ball applicator for a better application and spreading under your eyes. Since I have a mini, I don't have this applicator. But still, the round shaped tip is very convenient for me.

According to the sales girls, the bright packaging wasn’t chosen by chance. It was made on purpose to ease our search of the product even in the darkest hand bag.

Fragrance

The product is fragrance-free.

Texture

The cream is very lightweight and a tad runny.

Thanks to this texture the product is fast absorbing and leaves no oily film.

Ingredients

Well it’s a high-end product and I guess that they might have included some better ingredients. The second ingredient was glycerin and only the fourth was Shea Butter.

Result

Product promises:

This lightweight eye cream provides a rush of hydration and instant brightening so you look and feel refreshed, wide awake, and ready for anything in as little as three seconds. Its cool touch and de-puffing tip help keep eyes looking fresh while smoothing the way for makeup. Plus, its peptides help support natural collagen reserves that can be threatened by stress, fatigue, and lack of sleep—the tell-tale signs of your busy life.

Three seconds guys? That's too ambitious, I presume. When I was at the presentation and tried this product out for the first time I didn’t see any result or effect. Now I guess it all happened because that day I had already had some eye cream on my under eye area by Kiehl's and some concealer for sure.

The next day after the presentation I applied this cream on my clean under eye skin and I really felt something. Something like a cooling effect and a light tingling.

Before

And here’s after

The effect is there. My dark circles have become less visible and the wrinkles seems to lessen. I’m not sure that this result has appeared within 3 seconds as promised by I like it anyway! Hence, I do recommend you try this product Wink
