Even though the CosRX is a pretty young brand, it has already become famous and popular in the USA and Korea thanks to its products infused with effective acids. I saw One Step Pimple Clear Pad in a Korean shop where it was said to be the best-selling product. Then I saw it again and again and eventually bought this jar to try out.

The jar with the pads was packed in a cardboard box. The packaging is simple made with white and red colors.
On the top there’s a picture of a pad.
When I opened the box I didn’t expect it to be so cute. Look at this cutie. Mr RX is fighting blemishes with the pads! Mr RX is the talisman of the brand by the way.

Some information from the manufacturer
Under the top lid there’s a protecting membrane.
And finally they are here! 70 pads soaked with a solution.
The pads are thin and smooth from the one side and embossed on the other.
It was done on purpose for you to choose the side considering your skin type and personal preferences.
Ingredients:
Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine Salicylate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Arginine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Panthenol, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate
Active ingredients:
Betaine Salicylate - acne fighting and exfoliating.
Allantoin - Anti-Inflammatory, redness reduction and soothing. Good for: oily skin, sensitive skin
Hyaluronic acid - Moisturizing, Hydrating. Good for: dry skin
Aroma: For me the pads smell like a lemonade, not very sweet lemonade but refreshing and tea-based. In general the aroma is pleasant and not straight-in-your-nose.
How to use:
1) After cleansing, gently wipe the face with one pad, avoiding the eye area.
2) When using for specific target areas such as the forhead, nose, or chin, be careful not to irritate other parts and try to lightly wipe at only the oily or troublesome area.
3) After use, make sure the lid is screwed on tightly so the solution doesn’t dry.
4) Do not wash off, and continue with your normal makeup routine ! (Up to 3 times use per day is recommended ; 1-2 times use per day is recommended for dry skin or for teenagers.)
My experience with the CosRX One Step Pimple Clear Pad:
I liked the product very much, especially when it was boiling heat outside and I didn’t want to weigh down my skin with a lot of cosmetic products. They advise to use the pads 2-3 times a day. In summer I don’t want to use the acid infused product, even though I use SPF50 sun cream but still it’s too dangerous as there’s a risk to get pigmentation. So I use them overnight only.
And I’ll only speak about my experience of using this product once a day before going to bed.
If I wear make-up, I remove it with a cleansing oil. If I don’t, I just come to the following: I gently cleanse my face with a face cleanser and after that use one pad. I try to dab it on my skin, as though letting the solution sink in better. The pad is soaked well, so it doesn’t drag or irritate my skin.
And now a more detailed review:
The product promises wiping away excess dirt. And that's true. The pads gently dissolve all the impurities and even deep in my pores. It feels as though I did a good job cleansing and not simply wiped my skin with a cotton pad.
Acne healing
In the morning I can see that the small pimples disappeared and those big ones have become less visible and healed.
Mattifying effect
I haven’t noticed any, though for me that’s an advantage! I like a healthy glow on the skin and absolutely hate a dead matte finish. The pads give my skin the needed moisture and my skin looks smooth, glowing from within and healthy.
Deliverance from acne scarring and pigmentation
And again yes! Here the acids do their job and that’s why I can see that my skin looks better, my complexion is even and acne scars are less visible.
Moisture
My skin is oily, so I get enough moisture from these pads.
Sebum control
Here also yes. In the morning I usually get up with my face being extremely oily. But if I used these pads overnight, I’ll get up with my face looking good. My skin stays soft and shine free even when it’s very hot.
My verdict:
CosRx pads with BHA acid are great and do their job nicely. I can see the effect as my skin is becoming cleaner and less acne prone. The acid works deeply in the pores leaving me free from impurities and clogging. I also appreciate the sebum control.
These are all in one product. My skin isn’t perfect but I’m trying to do my best to get it and CosRX really helps me. I’ll definitely repurchase this product and I think that in winter I’ll use them as the manufacturer advises - 2-3 times a day.
