This year has become a year of The Ordinary by Deciem acquaintance for me. I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to try out their products and eventually fall in love with them! I appreciate the concept they follow: only active ingredients that are proved to work and be affordable.
So, let’s get onto the product review. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
I won’t describe what zinc or niacinamide are and how they affect the skin, just google it. There’s a lot of information, pictures, studies etc.
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is a gel-like semi-transparent serum. It’s packed in a glass bottle with a glass-dropper. It glides on my skin and is very pleasant to apply. It reminds me of a light aloe vera gel consistency. It sinks in quickly, leaving a cool fresh feeling.
I use this serum overnight before cream application. I don’t advise you apply it in the morning as niacinamide breaks down in the presence of the sun.
Don't expect that this product will make your skin look like from a magazine cover. You’ll see the effect but it won’t be immediate. You’ll see it after 3-4 weeks of constant use. The effect is slow and accumulative. Niacinamide is a great thing for your skin, you’ll be very thankful to yourself in the future if you start using it today.
Before and after photo within 3-4 weeks. Maybe you won't see this effect as visible or impressive but I know my skin and I see the result. Most of all I can see the difference in my pores: they have become smaller and cleaner. And in general the condition of my skin, its elasticity and smoothness have really become better.
I definitely recommend to give this serum a go! I’ll repurchase it for sure, as well as try some other products by the brand.
