I adore different face masks and it’s always difficult for me to resist and not to buy something new. Once I saw the new series of the Dr. Jart+ Shake&Shot masks online, I decided to try some of them for sure, because I heard a lot of positive reviews of them. There are 4 types of masks in this funny collection (I dared to buy 3 of them);
- Hydro;
- Brightening;
- Firming;
- Soothing
Today I want to speak to you about the soothing version of this mask, which promises to make my skin soft and relaxed.

Design:
The package with the mask is really funny and bright. The product is housed in a plastic bright purple-colored jar with a minty top-faced cap. There’s a straw in the mouth of the face, which is actually a spatula for the mask application.
What's in there?
Inside the jar, there are two small bags with the formula and a booster. There’s also a spatula to mix them.
A few words about the application:
As for the active components, then here I can highlight the guava leaf extract and aloe vera. I also want you to pay attention to the alpini leaf extract as well, because it’s aimed at making our skin soft and irritation-free.
Shaking and mixing the mask:
Open the packs with the formula and the booster and add them in the jar. 01 booster is creamy texture-wise, and it seems that it doesn’t have any scent to it. The pack 02 is very runny consistency-wise, it's see-through and the product inside really looks like water. It’s also unscented. After that I closed the jar and mixed the two formulas together. It took me no more than 10 seconds to mix them. The ready to use mask seemed to be thick, yet not too thick.
It was easy to pick it up with the spatula and apply over my face.
I want to advise you to apply the consistency as quickly as possible, because the formula dries out rather quickly.
They recommend us to leave the mask for 15-20 minutes. But for me it took about 40 minutes for the mask to dry out completely.
After that I easily peeled the mask off my skin. It’s very important for me to peel off such masks with one and the whole piece of dried formula, because I hate it when the masks breaks off. This mask peeled off like one big piece of white rubber.
Results:
At first I want to say that I applied the mask after a rather long day spent at the beach.
My skin wasn’t in its best condition after the entire day in salty water and being exposed in the sun. It felt like it was tightened and irritated.
But here the mask promises pleasant sensations like irritation-free skin, softening, relaxing and soothing.
While the mask was present on my face, I experienced a pleasant cooling sensation. When I took the mask off I could feel that my skin wasn’t tightened anymore, it was smooth, hydrated and fresh. I also noticed that my skin became very soft to the touch. The consequences of the entire day spent at the beach quickly vanished from my skin. That means that the product lives up to the promises.
Overall:
Seemingly the mask is great, though its price is an issue for me. I guess it’s possible to find the same modeling mask with the same properties, but two times cheaper. Or maybe even more than two times.
I guess that I was hooked on the funny and cute packaging, as well as easy application of the mask. But in all the other respects, the mask is ordinary and I don’t think that it’s worth $12. I won’t repurchase just because of the price tag it has.
