Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
For quite some time I was dreaming of having Drunk Elephant products. I was too eager to try out their skin care which is free of “suspicious 6”: Essential Oils, Drying Alcohols, Silicones, Chemical Screens, Fragrance/Dyes, and SLS.
Some products have settled into my wishlist. And when I have finally had a chance to buy them, I immediately did so.
The first product that I’ve tried was this TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. After that, I also bought TLC Sukari Babyfacial.
But I guess that my expectations were too high and I can’t get the hype about them in our country. In this review, I’ll tell you about what I received and what I’ve never gained from the product. First things first:

About my skin: it’s rather sensitive and dry when it’s cold. I can handle acids rather well. I also have some dry patches and acne scars.
Packaging: the air-less pump dispenser is a brilliant feature of the brand. First of all, such pumps allow us to store the skin care better and secondly, the Drunk Elephant made their packages perfection. They are always beautiful, pleasant to the touch and their pumps are fantastic. Even the mini breathes with good quality. I don’t know why but once I upload the pictures, they don’t look so bright anymore. In a word, the packaging is very cute and vibrant.
Color and smell: The product doesn’t have any distinctive smell or color.

Texture: The serum is actually a transparent gel of average thickness. It applies and distributes with ease, though can still be present over my skin for some time. Besides, my skin can be a tad sticky after use.

Ingredients: It’s impossible to be picky about the list of ingredients here. There’s glycolic and salicylic acids, plus a lot of wholesome extracts. However, I don’t appreciate the Sodium Hydroxide in the beginning. It’s a rather harsh component and it can really irritate your skin:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycolic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Juice Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Extract, Buddleja Davidii Meristem Cell Culture, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Allantoin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Galactoarabinan, Propanediol, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Nitrate, Potassium Sorbate, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Benzoate

Results:
Using acids too often can be damaging even for the skin, which has gotten used to them. Yes, I know that it’ll look more exfoliated and less pigmented. Besides, acne scarring and small wounds will heal faster but at the same time, your skin may react with small pimples all over. I also noticed that my skin tingles for some time after application.
And it comes not only to my gentle face skin, by the way. The irritation may occur even on my hands. This isn’t probably an issue for anybody with less dry skin, which is why the brand has so many worshipers all over the world.
Price: It costs a lot, guys. $90 for 1 oz, this is crazy. Even though the packaging seems to be perfect and the list of ingredients is fine, it still isn’t worth the money they ask for it. I deem you can buy such products for less money from other brands.

Overall: I can’t decide whether the product is good or bad. It just doesn’t suit my skin. Maybe it’ll work better over more oily skin or if your skin isn’t sensitive and reacts well to the acid skin care on a daily basis.
From my experience, I can’t recommend this Framboos night serum though I still can’t tell off people of different skin types from buying it either.
