Pros: a little goes a long way, amazing smell, spf
Cons: leaves oily film, makes my face oily, takes too long to sink in, unjustified price

Hello everybody!

I’ve used up the Estee Lauder DayWear Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15 which means that it’s time to write a review of it!

I’ll start off by saying that it was a long desired product for me. Once my friend tried it out, she fell for it and of course recommended me to give it a go too. The factor that stopped me from the immediate purchase was the price. $54 for a 50ml jar. I’m not the person who is only into heavy luxury products. I know that I can find something similar in a drugstore. But as fate would have it I went to the Sephora store and went out with a set of minis by Estee Lauder.

And my dream to try out the DayWear came true!

The product promises are rather usual. In a few words: defense against signs of premature aging, moisture, healthy glow, Super Anti-Oxidant Complex and Broad Spectrum sunscreen.

I was using a 15 ml jar for 2 months and preferably applying the product in the morning. Sometimes I applied it twice a day but only when I had to wash my face twice. The packaging is no fuss. The light-blue jar with a golden screw top cap. I prefer products packed in a tube but it’s a rare occasion among the high end brands. I don’t appreciate the packaging since there’s no spoon included to take out the cream. And getting into a jar with my fingers isn’t a good option too. The cream itself is of light blue color, medium thickness and has a crisp cucumber-y scent.

My experience of using the DayWear by Estee Lauder:

I’m 26 and I don’t have any significant signs of aging yet. My skin is of combination type with an oily T-zone and tightening feelings after I wash my face. From this cream I obviously need moisture properties, full sinking in and comforting feelings in general.

I didn’t manage to adjust the optimal amount of this product to apply. When I applied an average amount sufficient to remove the tightness and be enough for good moisture, this cream was not absorbed and left my skin quite fatty. To apply my make-up or just leave the house, I wiped my face with a paper napkin, otherwise my face was shining like there was no tomorrow.

If I applied a little amount of the cream it absorbed well but didn't give me a feeling of moisture and comfort. As a result, I usually chose the first version of its use but the feeling that I was just throwing away a good part of this very expensive product with a napkin didn’t leave me alone.

As for any visual skin improvement, no miracle happened. It was exactly in the same state as before.

For the advantages I can also list the SPF but a very small factor of 15. It’ll be good only for winter, as in summer we all need higher protection.

Generalizing, I want to express my opinion and say that I presume that this cream will show a good performance only on the dry skin type. And if you’re looking for a good quality product with a good correlation of price/quality, then toss this product, as here you pay for a brand and not for a result.

If the price tag isn’t the concern of yours, then give this product a go. Maybe it’ll become your cup of tea.
