Recently, I fell in love with sachets and mini-sized products. They are so convenient that I stopped buying full sized products without testing a mini before. First, I found a sachet of the Estee Lauder DayWear cream (5ml) in a magazine. I tried it out, fell in love and then bought a set of minis with this cream included.
Most of all I liked that the cream has a SPF15, pleasant to the touch, texture, and fresh cucumber-y scent. The product was quick to absorb and it always left my skin soft and smooth.
In the summer I thought that I became addicted to this product and during Christmas sales I already bought the full sized DayWear cream.
But my joy didn’t last long. Even though the product is claimed to be proven with Super Anti-Oxidant Complex, Broad Spectrum sunscreen, and suitable for normal and combination skin (which is mine) something clearly went wrong.
I don’t know what happened, maybe my skin needed some better moisture or that was the season when my skin was picky, I don’t know but the cream stopped sinking in even after 10 minutes of application.
I had to blot my face with a tissue to remove the residue. It was completely inconvenient especially in the morning when I was in a hurry and had a minimum amount of time for my make-up.
But I’m an optimist and found a good way out! You see, currently I’m looking for my ideal foundation product. I got some sachets of Estee Lauder Double Wear light which turned out to be too drying for me, as well as Guerlain Tenue de Perfection.
They both are too dry while application. But the situation changed when I applied them over unabsorbed DayWear.
So, this is how I used up the DayWear and gave a go to two foundation products. When I ran out of the DayWear and tried to apply these foundations over some other moisturizing cream, it didn't work. The foundation was rolling on my face and I was desperate to apply it evenly.
So real-life experience showed me that The Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15 is a great face primer.
Overall, I want to say that I won’t repurchase, as a day cream should work not only as a face primer, but also sink in well and quickly give necessary moisture to my skin.
