Pros: absorbs quickly, contains antioxidants, nice smell, no harmful ingredients, visually lifts skin
Cons: clogs pores a little bit, hefty price, inconvenient jar, leaves residue, not enough spf protection, not suitable for evening

Hi!

Recently I received a sample of the Estee Lauder cream complimentary after buying their foundation. The product itself is alright, but it didn’t wow me.

1) Price: It’s exorbitant! You’ll have to fork out $90 for 1.7 oz.

2) Packaging: such a dull package.

I have to dip into the jar with my fingers, which is unsanitary and non-tight.

All beneficial ingredients will become worthless in about 30 days.

3) The texture is thick and oily.

Moreover, I won’t say that it goes far.

4) The smell is nice and spring-like. It reminds me of lilac flowers.

However, I don’t appreciate fragrances in creams, so it’s a pass for me here too.

5) The feel: My skin feels alright when I have it on. The cream doesn’t crease or leave any oily film as opposed to the Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15.

But it clogs the pores on my nose a little bit.

I have particularly sensitive skin to oily and greasy creams, so it doesn’t really suit me. Also, it’s too heavy for summer, because my skin sweats with it.

6) SPF 15 is nothing. It won’t protect you from the sun rays in summer.

Plus, this cream is not suitable for night use due to SPF. By the way, I applied it overnight for experiment sake. In the morning I woke up with heavy breakouts.

So, be ready to shell out another $90 for a night cream to add up to your daily skincare regimen!

7) Ingredients:

Avobenzone 3.00%; Octisalate 5.00%; Octocrylene 2.70%Ingredients: Water\Aqua\Eau; Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate; Cetyl Alcohol; Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate; Glycerin; Polyethylene; Butyloctyl Salicylate; Di-C12-15 Alkyl Fumarate; Petrolatum; Hydrogenated Lecithin; Butylene Glycol; Propanediol; Hydrogenated Polyisobutene; Octyldodecyl Myristate; Hexyldecyl Stearate; Dimethicone; Glyceryl Stearate; Laminaria Digitata Extract; Behenyl Alcohol; Algae Extract; Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil; Coleus Barbatus Extract; Cucumis Melo (Melon) Fruit Extract; Potato Starch Modified; Mimosa Tenuiflora Bark Extract; Yeast Extract\Faex\Extrait De Levure; Plankton Extract; Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate; Thermus Thermophillus Ferment; Saccharomyces Ferment Lysate Filtrate; Artemia Extract; C12-16 Alcohols; Acetyl Glucosamine; Linoleic Acid; Whey Protein\Lactis Protein\Proteine Du Petit-Lait; Peg-100 Stearate; Tocopheryl Acetate; Caffeine; Ergothioneine; Glycine Soja (Soybean) Sterols; Decarboxy Carnosine Hcl; Palmitic Acid; Creatine; Ethylhexylglycerin; Polymethyl Methacrylate; Trehalose; Glucose; Sodium Hyaluronate; Sorbitol; Zinc Pca; Cholesterol; Malachite; Acetyl Hexapeptide-8; Maltodextrin; Lecithin; Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer; Isohexadecane; Sodium Hydroxide; Polysorbate 80; Lactoperoxidase; Hexylene Glycol; Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate; Potassium Sulfate; Glucose Oxidase; Polysilicone-11; Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate; Xanthan Gum; Caprylyl Glycol; Citric Acid; Fragrance (Parfum); Bht; Disodium Edta; Phenoxyethanol; Potassium Sorbate; Mica; Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891); Red 4 (Ci 14700); Yellow 5 (Ci 19140) <ILN39076>

There is a plethora of natural surfactants and emulsifying agents that probably ensure this lifting effect.

There are also a few moisturizers, antioxidants and Algae Extracts.

It also has a few fragrances, but there is nothing really harmful in the list.

The ingredients are fine, but they are not worth $90 for sure.

You can find the same mixture of alcohols, antioxidants, polymers and glycerine in, for instance, Andalou or Clinique creams as well.

Cool The Claims:

Now you can have it all: the lifted look, the firmer feeling and the radiance that reflects how beautiful you are.

Resilience Lift for day is powered by our exclusive Photo-Activated Lift Complex. Immediately, skin looks more radiantly alive. As you use it, facial contours appear more sculpted and defined. Lines and wrinkles look more smoothed out and lifted away. You'll see a remarkably younger, revitalized look.

The Normal/Combination skin creme is silky, refreshing. The Dry Skin cream is richly nourishing.

Use it with Resilience Lift Night for a 24-hour lift system.

Sounds too good to be true, right?

Cons:

  • Too thick and greasy formula that gives an uncomfortable oily film on my skin

  • SPF is nothing

  • The packaging is unsanitary and the product expires too quickly

  • Clogs my pores a little bit

  • Suitable for day only

  • Breaks the budget

Pros:

  • The ingredients are safe and may help your skin look younger when you use it along with decent serums. However, it is nothing unique and not worth the price.

Therefore I give it only 3 stars and don’t recommend it. You better drop this money on a new pair of shoes Smile
