Pros: refreshing, smooth skin
Cons: doesn't clean pores, dries out for a long time, epilates my face, hard to apply, smells absolutely disgusting

Hey guys,

I wish I could write a positive review about the Freeman Cucumber Facial Peel-Off Mask, but I’m determined to tell you the whole truth about it.

Let me review the product step by step:

Packaging: nondescript. It’s just an ordinary green tube with a picture of luscious cucumbers. It comes with 150ml, which is neither too little nor too much. As far as I’m concerned, a smaller volume would be more preferable, as a thick texture inside dries out quickly. However, it depends on how often you use the mask.

Ingredients:

Water, Polyvinyl Alcohol, SD Alcohol 40 B, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, PPG 5 Ceteth 20, Lactic Acid, DMDM Hydantoin, Butylene Glycol, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Yellow 5 (CI 11680), Fragrance, Aminomethyl Propanol

Suggested use:

Apply evenly to face, avoiding eye area. Leave on 5-10 minutes or until dry. Gently peel off mask. Rinse with warm water.

Claim:

A super-cooling, skin-quenching mask that gently peels away impurities that can cause skin to be rough and dull. Contains Cucumber Extract and Aloe to soothe while moisturizing, ensuring skin feels soft and silky-smooth after every use.

My opinion:

The texture is too gooey, therefore it’s really hard to distribute the product with a thin layer, and it takes too long to dry.

When I got used to it after a while, the mask got thicker. As for the pores cleansing, I haven’t noticed any result. Right, the skin is smooth, but my pores are still clogged. I attach some photos for you to see this. The manufacturer also promises that the cucumber extract makes your face lighter. Nuts! All the spots from breakouts and freckles are not going anywhere. Moreover, the mask dries out my skin a little, although the packaging says the products suits all skin types. Keep this in mind if you have dry skin.

One more downside is that the mask has a chemical smell. The product is so painful to remove, that it feels like I'm epilating my face. Consequently the mask is actually stressful for my skin. If you want to get better results, I advise you to steam your face before using.

On a positive note, the mask makes my face look matte and refreshed after use, but considering all the cons I’ve mentioned above, it doesn’t deserve a high rating.
