I love Kiehl's skincare products, especially facial masks.
So the Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque became one of my favorites.
The package is quite heavy with 125 ml of the product. It’s made of sturdy white plastic with the cap of the same color as the mask itself. It has a cosmetic smell that is not potent.
It’s meant for oily and normal-to-oily skin types.
The texture is creamy and quite thick. It applies to my skin easily and I always use a flat synthetic brush for this purpose.
It should be applied to clean and slightly moisturized skin in a thin layer, the eye area excluded.
The maker advises to keep the mask for 10 minutes on, but I kept it even longer and nothing bad happened. Right after applying I feel a slight stinging that fades away in a few minutes.
Although it has clay in the ingredients, the mask doesn’t dry out or tighten my skin.
I feel comfortable wearing it, even though I can feel it on my skin.
It washes off effortlessly without using any additional sponges or anything. My skin feels clean and refreshed right after use. More than that, it’s soft and smooth to the touch.
This mask doesn’t dry out my skin, but makes it matte. My skin is prone to getting oily in my T-zone, but it doesn’t have any oily sheen at all the day I use the mask!
It lightens my blackheads a little bit, but if you apply it after steaming your skin, the results are even visible to the naked eye.
Also, it shrinks my pores very well.
Before and After
I recommend the Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque especially to those who have oily skin with large pores. As far as I’m concerned, my normal skin type is very pleased with the results as well.
It doesn’t ensure any wow-effect, which could actually be possible if my pores were larger and my pores darker, but it still makes my skin clean. Plus, it’s very comfortable to wear. However, I agree that it’s pricey.
