Hello there!
Cleansing is an important step in any skin care. When you’re 18 you can cleanse your skin with a bar of laundry soap and be fine. But when you’re 36, that trick will never work.
Usually, my cleanser collection gathers several different products for my makeup removing. I love alternating them as well as try out something new, looking for my perfect cleanser. So, I usually don’t buy the same product twice because I want to try new and new products more.
But, it all changed with this Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser. It’s my third tube already!
I first tried it out when found a deluxe sample of it in the Sephora Play! box. I fell for it. Now, when I see it’s almost used up, I hurry to buy a new package ASAP.
This is what they say about it:
This luxurious cleanser made with Greek yogurt is rich in proteins, minerals, and vitamins to gently cleanse while nourishing—leaving skin soft and supple and reducing redness. The formula also easily removes makeup and impurities without irritation. The cleanser includes amaranth seed extract to soothe, as well as calming honeysuckle to provide antibacterial benefits.
Key ingredients:
- Greek Yoghurt Concentrate: Contains two and a half times the protein content of regular yogurt for advanced nourishment.
- Honeysuckle: Provides soothing, antibacterial, and calming benefits.
- Amaranth Seed Extract: Calms skin.
Ingredients:
AQUA/WATER/EAU, SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE, COCO- BETAINE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, DISODIUM LAURYL SULFOSUCCINATE, ZEA MAYS (CORN) STARCH, GLYCERIN, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, SODIUM METHYL COCOYL TAURATE, MAGNESIUM ALUMINUM SILICATE, GLYCERYL LAURATE, SCLEROTIUM GUM, ALCOHOL, AMARANTHUS CAUDATUS SEED EXTRACT, HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, HYDROLYZED RICE PROTEIN, LACTIS PROTEINUM/WHEY PROTEIN/PROTÉINE DU LAIT, LACTOSE, LONICERA CAPRIFOLIUM (HONEYSUCKLE) FLOWER EXTRACT, LONICERA JAPONICA (HONEYSUCKLE) FLOWER EXTRACT, PARFUM/FRAGRANCE, SODIUM COCOYL ALANINATE, SODIUM COCOYL HYDROLYZED AMARANTH PROTEIN, SODIUM PHYTATE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, YOGURT POWDER.
The product comes packed with 2 types of tubes:
150ml for $26
75ml for $14
✅ Made in Greece.
Sephora rates it in its green “Clean at Sephora” section because the product consists of 86.4% natural ingredients.
I usually buy 75ml tubes. I know that if I buy one big tube instead of 2 small ones, I’ll save $2 but it still feels better for me to splurge less at a time.
And yeah, 75ml is enough to use for 3-4 months for me.
✅ The outer appearance of the product isn’t remarkable - just a regular soft tube with a flip top.
✅ Consistency - a hybrid of cream and gel.
✅ Smell - light, non-chasing yet very “tasty." Although, I don’t recommend you eating it.
✅ The cleanser is soap-free but it still lathers well.
I can feel free to remove my eye makeup with it and be sure nothing will irritate or burn my eyes.
Naturally, you have to have your eyes closed. I mean, it still will be unpleasant when it gets in your eyes but it won’t be so hurtful as from a soap.
✅ The product cleanses my skin and removes even my heavy makeup easy-breezy. Yet, sometimes I still have to apply it twice to cleanse my mascara. But it doesn't bother me. After all, I wash my hair twice too.
✅ My skin isn’t tugged after use of this Korres Greek Yoghurt as it may happen with any other regular cleansers, even the mildest ones. In this picture, you can see my skin isn’t tugged.
Everything is great here and one can even feel free to omit serum and moisturizer afterwards. Although, I can’t do this because of my age.
❗️❗️❗️Overall thoughts❗️❗️⁉️
No, this Greek Yogurt doesn’t do any wonders to my skin: it doesn’t even out my wrinkles, or smooth out my complexion, like a foundation. It doesn’t even provide super moisture for 24 hours or diminish the appearance of my pores or acne scars.
No, but it does perfectly well what it should do. It removes my makeup and cleanses my skin delicately enough so as not to dry it out.
I especially appreciate it while having a shower: come on, who else takes your makeup off before taking a shower?
I don’t have to remove those panda-esque dark circles from my mascara afterwards. I just use this product and cleanse my skin and eyes at the same time!
I hope they won’t discontinue it for a long time! I bought it, still buy and keep on buying it, even though I have a pretty big collection of cleansers on my bathroom shelf.
I think that the fact this is my third tube already says something to you.
5 stars and a thumb up!
