Hello everybody!

I love to take care of my skin using all the possible products like peelings, scrubs, masks, etc! I have black spots on my nose, so there are always scrubs in my arsenal, because these can remove black spots and unclog pores, when necessary. This review will be about one of those, namely: L'Oreal Paris Purify & Unclog Pure-Sugar Scrub.

Description:

Pure Sugar Scrubs are a naturally derived blend of 3 Pure Sugars, paired with Kiwi Seeds, Peppermint and Lemongrass oils. This light, gel sugar scrub is truly kind to your skin. This scrub with brown, blond and white sugars, rich in minerals, melts into skin for gentle, yet effective exfoliation. Purify and unclog for baby soft skin. For use on both face and lips. See effective results immediately. Skin feels purified and clean. Dirt, oil and impurities are effectively removed. Dull skin is gently polished away. In 1 week: skin feels baby-soft, smooth and comforted. Pores look tighter, unclogged and less visible. Skin looks less shiny and rebalanced. Skin looks healthier, smoother, glowing.

This is my first face scrub from L'Oreal and I can say that the quality of the product impressed me a lot. It can be used both for the face and lips, which is quite convenient, especially before applying matte lipsticks, so this scrub has become my absolute MUST-HAVE!

About the product:

The scrub is housed in a glass jar, which in turn is in a cardboard box. All important information is to be found on the packaging.

Shelf life: 3 years

The scrub is in a stylish glass jar with screw lid. There was another protective lid under it, which I immediately threw away.

Ingredients:

782791 35: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sucrose, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Seed, Peg-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Accharide Hydrolysate, Trideceth-6, Triethanolamine, Mentha Piperita Oil/Peppermint Oil, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Ci 19140/Yellow 5, Ci 61570/Green 5, Caramel, Linalool, Limonene, Parfum/Fragrance. Fil B210673/1.

Essential ingredients:

  • 3 pure sugars
  • Kiwi seeds
  • peppermint oil
  • lemongrass oil

The ingredients are interesting, at least for me, because I had never used sugar scrubs on my face before. I used them mostly for the body. And here, the manufacturers have taken 3 types of sugar and they were quite generous with the oils, so it comes to cleaning and care 2 in 1. Great! I’m in my thirties, and that's exactly what my skin needs!

Texture:

The consistency of the scrub is honey-like, a bit sugary but not too dense The color is fresh green, and transparent, so don’t be afraid that it will discolor your skin.

The kiwi seeds are easy to spot, which makes the product exotic and natural-looking. At the sight of it I just want to smear the substance all over my face.

The scrub feels oily and sticky, but thanks to these properties it is pleasant to apply, spread and rinse off completely.

Aroma:

Fresh, juicy, green! The aroma is not natural, but still nice. It awakens the thoughts of the summer, ripe fruits and sun in me.

Directions of use:

Smooth a small amount with dry fingers onto clean, dry skin avoiding the eye area. Massage over face with wet fingers. Rinse with warm water. Use 3 times a week. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately & thoroughly. Can also smooth and refine lips, improving the overall look of lips. Do not use on chapped lips. Close cap after each use.

As I said, this scrub can be used not only for the face but also for the lips! I'm a big fan of lip scrubs, they manage to remove the lip flaking that keeps me from applying a lipstick nicely.

Let me start by testing with the face, though.

1. I apply some scrub onto the dry skin, then spread it evenly all over the skin surface and add some water to warm it up and wait 5 minutes for the sugar to dissolve completely.

2. After 5 minutes I rinse the scrub off with warm water. The scrub comes off completely, there are no leftovers on the skin. The skin does not feel dry or tight . It is such a pleasant feeling!

Advantages:

  • the scrubbing particles are perfect, not too harsh;
  • cleanses the skin remarkably well;
  • the warming effect ensures better pore cleansing;
  • when used regularly (3 times a week) the scrub makes black spots less noticeable;
  • reduces the pores;
  • the scrub is also suitable for sensitive skin, as it is very mild.

FOR THE LIPS:

If you often have dry and flaky lips, like mine, try this scrub.

1. I apply it on my dry lips and massage it a little. You can also let it work for a few minutes.

2. Then I rinse the scrub off with warm water.

3. Afterwards, I apply a lip balm or lip oil.

Advantages:

smoothes the surfaces of the lips, eliminates the peeling;

removes black spots around the lips;

softens the lips.

Actually I didn’t like using this scrub on the lips, maybe it's because my previous scrubs were tougher and had a stronger effect on the skin and lips, stimulating the renewal of the skin. This kiwi scrub is milder, but that's a plus for the skin, it does not scratch and irritate it.

I think this sugar scrub is a very good product! It cleans well, fights the black dots, fits any age, has a fresh fruity aroma and gives positive mood. I'm very happy with it! The price is about $10.
