Cleansing oils are essential for me. Even though I don’t use BB creams on a constant basis, I always keep a bottle of such an oil on my shelf, because foundations, waterproof mascaras and eyeliners are so easy to remove with oils. That’s why I added this to my basket.

This is my second cleansing oil (I didn’t really like the first one from Skinfood). However, I like this one.

The little bottle came in a cardboard box and was equipped...actually, it wasn’t equipped with any dispenser. But thanks to the thick consistency, the process of getting the oil out of the bottle is fuss-free.

The scent is fresh and citrus-like and a bit strong to my taste, but it doesn’t linger on the skin.

How to use:

I apply a bit to my palms and warm the oil up. Then, I transfer the oil to the dry skin and spread it on my cheeks, forehead and chin. I gently massage the oil into my skin with the tips of my fingers. After a while, I add a bit of lukewarm water and the massage goes on (including the eye area). Then, I wash it off. The cleansing isn’t over, though. I always use a face cleansing gel afterwards.

Ingredients:

Isopropyl Myristate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Mineral Oil, PEG-8 Isostearate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Husk Oil, Alcohol Denat, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Jojoba Esters, Asparagus Lucidus Root Extract, Tussilago Farfara (Coltsfoot) Flower Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance.

The ingredients aren’t that bad, especially in comparison with other Korean products. There are natural oils there. Also, tea tree oil promised to work against pimples, but I haven’t noticed it, as well as the smell of the tea tree oil itself.

The cleansing oil easily removes BB Creams, long-lasting foundations, mascaras and eyeliners without over-drying my skin. It feels soft and smooth. However, if your skin is prone to acne and pore clogging, don’t keep this oil on your face for too long. Cleansing oil is just the first step in the skin care regimen, which is designed to remove the makeup.
