Hey!

I’ve been interested in the Korean skincare routine lately. Today I’m gonna tell you something about a moisturizer from the anti-age line Immortal Youth by Missha.

Koreans are marketing geniuses: just look at their stylish and adorable designs! Also, they can divide one treatment into two. For example, it’s recommended to use many products in combination with this moisturizers, like the blue essence by Missha, serums, creams etc. It means 7 products instead of 2 or 3! And yes, I think they only do it to sell more, and many of the products could have been easily combined into one!

I didn’t plan to buy this moisturizer, I simply liked the face cream, but it was a bit too pricey...Anyway, I ordered a set with mini-versions, and this moisturizer was there too.

I ordered them online from Korea. The set with minis costs 9 bucks. The full-size moisturizer is sold for 34 bucks.

The mini-bottles are very similar to the full-size ones, except that they aren’t equipped with pumps.

All the information on the bottle and the box it came in was in Korean.

The moisturizer has a pleasant smell, but it doesn’t linger on the skin. The face cream has a stronger smell.

Consistency: a bit more liquidy than a gel. Easy to apply and spread, isn’t runny. In this photo you can see that the consistency isn’t homogeneous, but I don’t feel any particles to it.

Ingredients:

Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate, Lactobacillus/Betula Platyphylla Japonica Juice Ferment, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Niacinamide, Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, Lactobacillus, Pseudozyma epicola/soybean flour/argania spinosa kernel oil ferment filtrate, Pseudozyma Epicola/Soybean Flour/Olive Fruit Oil Ferment Filtrate, Cassia Alata Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Betula Platyphylla Japonica Juice, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Arginine, Glyceryl Caprylate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Adenosine, Resveratrol, Sodium Cocoyl Alaninate, Caprylyl Glycol, sh-Decapeptide-9, Behenyl Alcohol, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA

I’ve been using this set for 1,5 months now, using all of the products at once and separately. Ah, forgot to say: I’m 35 years old and have combination\oily skin.

The moisturizer works great for me when I use it solo without applying the face cream after it. It’s perfect for my skin type, especially when it’s hot.

When used under the face cream, it makes my skin softer. Also, it helps to use the face cream economically. The face cream soaks in slowly, though.

When I use all three products it once, I get a fatty layer cake on my face! It may work for dry skin probably, but definitely not for mine!

My favorite way is to mix the face cream and the moisturizer. As a result, the cream is more lightweight and quickly soaks in. Also, the moisturizing effect is truly better.

The first box of minis lasted about 1,5 months.

None of the products clog my pores or build a film on my skin. No pimples either- except when I have my period.

The moisturizer feels sticky, but only at first.

As for the effect: there is really a moisturizing effect, the product can be used both solo or with a face cream. I haven’t got new wrinkles or lines. Also, sometimes I applied the moisturizer onto the eye area, and little wrinkles were less visible there.

I love the skin I get with this moisturizer: it’s soft, nourished and smooth. The moisturizer alone isn’t enough for dry skin, but for oily or normal it’s okay. Age...depending on the skin’s condition, I’d say: from 30-35 years.

Recommended, though the full-size version is a bit pricey.
