There are times in the life of a person with dry skin type (not only) when the skin thirsts for moisture.

And the solution might be very simple - use thicker moisturizers, coat yourself with sheet masks or call for regular masks. But there are masks, which we usually forget about somehow, even though they are super useful and working. These are sleep masks. Such products can really reanimate your skin and today I’ll tell you about one of my fave among these - Pixi Nourishing Sleep Mask

  • Design

I appreciate the brand’s design. The same colors, the same lines, everything is simple yet not ugly. And look at that gentle green color, it’s pleasant to lay my eyes on after a long and crazy day.

The packaging here is fantastic. Nothing happens with the tube, ever, even though I’ve been using it for more than a year already and it still looks brand new.

The packaging is as simple as possible: screw-on top cap and a small nozzle. The simpler it is, the fewer chances there are that something would break down or fall out.

The product expires within 24 months of use, which is enough to use up the tube.

Currently, there’s enough of it left to use within the following 2-3 months. Nothing has changed about the formula during that time.

  • Ingredients

Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Hexyl Laurate, Stearic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Phenyl Trimethicone, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Sodium Acrylate / Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sorbitan Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Isohexadecane, Phenoxyethanol, Polysorbate 80, Glycosyl Trehalose, Arginine, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Disodium EDTA, 1,2-Hexanediol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caffeine. 45ml / 1.01 fl.oz.

  • Swatches

The mask is lightweight and creamy. It’s very easy to distribute over my skin and I like that it soaks up almost completely. They advise leaving it on overnight and rinsing off with a face cleanser in the AM.

I can’t make out any distinctive aroma of it, the smell is light and non-chasing.

  • Use

In the PM 2-3 times a week

I don’t use it like that, the use depends on my needs. Sometimes I can use it several days in a row, while other days I can forget about it for a week.

The mask revives my skin. It doesn’t live up to the routine products. There are other moisturizing and purifying masks, which do this for me.

The product is perfect for traveling, I mean during a flight, for instance. Well, actually, I can’t sleep there after the mask application (I’ve got 2 kids) but this product deprives me of having 100 different tubes onboard so as not to let my skin dry down like a raisin.

I just apply it all over my face and cuticula and feel free to fly for 5 or 5.5 hours.

Besides, this mask is a solution for me when the air is 10-15% humid. This happens, especially in winter, when I don’t use a humidifier or forget to water the plants. I use this mask overnight and in the morning my skin looks fresh and revived.

  • Impressions of use

I want to put it like this - I love this mask.

I use it when something went wrong with my skin due to bad cleansing, for instance when my skin is super dry. 1-2 nights and my skin is alive again.

I also tested it out when my skin was frostbitten. This babe saved me from skin flaking.

It helps me out during a flight and after it as well.

After the flight my skin isn’t dehydrated or covered with pimples.

In a word, this mask is a product which is able to change everything overnight, no matter what you were doing during the day.

The product is claimed to be nourishing but it feels like it’s more moisturizing.

On the other hand, I’m raving about its results, that it doesn’t even matter what they are called.

It goes a long way, it isn’t tacky. My skin is nurtured and hydrated.

  • Price

$22. Well, rather pricey but taking into the account its spending and the results it shows, I’m ready to repurchase.

  • In a nutshell:

Sleeping masks are magical wands which perfect your skin overnight. Sleeping masks will never steal your time because you use it at night. How am I supposed to assess the masks which work fine and doesn’t require any mumbo-jumbo?

Love, cherish, recommend Smile
