I have a lot of face masks, and not a day passes without me using one. Lately, there was a sale in my local store, and I bought three clay masks from Sephora. There are eight masks in the line in total.
In this review I’ll be describing the yellow mask, which is supposed to revitalize and tone your skin.
Which skin type is it good for?✔ Normal✔ Oily✔ Combination✔ Dry✔ SensitiveWhat it is:A line of masks formulated with natural clay to address a variety of targeted skincare needs.Solutions for:- Dullness and uneven texture- Dark spots and uneven skin tone- Dryness
These masks are housed in doypacks. In general, the packaging is quite handy, but it tends to fall from my bathroom shelf, because it’s unstable.
Volume: 35 ml.
The nozzle can be sealed, which makes the face mask last longer and remain fresh without drying out. It’s recommended to use the mask in 12 months after opening.
Ingredients:
The consistency is very thick. Thicker than any clay mask I’ve tried before. However, it’s easy to apply. I have a special brush, which helps me spend less while spreading the mask over my face.
The scent is persistent. I wouldn’t say that I like it, but it doesn’t irritate me. They could have added a more neutral fragrance, though.
How to use:
I love clay masks and I gladly use them any time of the day - there are no restrictions for oily skin.
1. I cleanse my skin and apply the mask and spread it all over my skin.
The mask doesn’t dry completely and therefore can be easily washed off.
2. In 15 minutes I wash off the rest with lukewarm water. The mask comes off easily, without leaving unpleasant feelings on the skin. Just in case, I use a toner or lotion after this mask.
As a result, my skin looks great, as though I had a holiday. It’s clean and matte, but I wonder if it’s revitalized or toned. I feel no tightening, just like after a good sheet mask.
My impressions:
The Sephora Yellow Clay Mask is good, but it hasn’t impressed me much. Yes, it works (it isn’t of help against blackheads, though), yes, it mattifies and that’s it. It a very mediocre mask. I have to note that it doesn’t dry my skin out.
To be honest, I expected something more.
